Requirements
  • High school graduation and five years of related office experience, or an Associate’s degree and three years of related experience, or a combination of higher education and related experience equal to five years.
  • Proficiency in various computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of office practices, procedures, and use of electronic equipment as required by the department.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, vendors, customers, students, and the general public.
Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute events based on client objectives.
  • Arrange facilities and services for assigned conferences, follow up on details, and coordinate with appropriate service providers.
  • Oversee preparation of budgets, financial records, and statements, and monitor income and expenditures for each conference program.
  • Develop and maintain conference registration websites.
  • Organize, coordinate, and provide event details to campus partners.
  • Coordinate group dining hall reservations and billing.
  • Support program activities including group and conference dining reservations, catering orders, scheduling, and billing.
  • Prepare and process weekly billing and provide required reports.
  • Provide administrative support by answering phones, responding to general email, ordering supplies, managing office inventory, depositing funds, and producing reports and financial summaries.
Desired Qualifications
  • College degree.
  • Experience in the administrative functions of the conference and catering industry.
