Requirements

At least 8 years of switch/networking mechanical design experience.
At least 8 years of mechanical engineering experience.
A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
An expressed interest in mechanical engineering in the networking industry.
Understanding of basic mechanics, materials science, tooling, and manufacturing.
Root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
Communication skills for collaborating with a cross-functional team.
Proficiency with 3D computer-aided design applications.
Data analysis, data management, basic statistics, and experimental design skills.
Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

Create, experiment with, and evaluate new product concepts.
Improve current product designs for longer life and greater reliability, and test products at field locations.
Troubleshoot and debug prototypes and mass-production products.
Perform tests and conduct engineering analysis.
Write analytical reports and good-practice documents.
Manage engineering budgets and schedules and handle customer interfaces for project deliverables.
Work with global manufacturing resources, procurement, and outside suppliers to meet technical, quality, and cost objectives.

Desired Qualifications

Experience in outdoor and network-attached storage product design is preferred.
Experience with SolidWorks is preferred.

Responsibilities:

Create, experiment with, and evaluate new product concepts
Improving designs on current products for longer life and more reliability, and testing products at field locations.
Capable of troubleshooting and debugging prototypes and MP Product
Perform tests and conduct engineering analysis.
Write analytical reports and good practice documents.
Responsible for project deliverables, including the management of engineering budgets, schedules, and customer interfaces.
Work with global manufacturing resources, procurement, and outside suppliers to meet UI technical, quality, and cost objectives

Minimum Qualifications (MUST-haves) :

8+ years of switch/networking mechanical design experience.
Experience in outdoor and NAS product design is preferred.
Expressed interest in mechanical engineering in the networking industry
Demonstrated aptitude for creative, “out of the box” thinking
Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn new things
Understanding of basic mechanics, material science, tooling, and manufacturing.
Good root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills
Great communication skills for collaborating with a cross-functional team
A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Mechanical Engineering
Proficient with 3D CAD applications (SolidWorks preferred),
Solid data analysis, data management, basic statistics, and experimental design skills
Fluency in English
