Requirements
  • Enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student in a Life Sciences degree is preferred.
  • A faculty recommendation is required.
  • Prior or current tissue culture or quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) experience is required.
  • Ability to work up to 20 hours per week as needed is required.
  • Willingness to work during summer and winter breaks as requested by the Principal Investigator is required.
  • Ability to handle biohazardous and chemical hazardous materials, hazardous wastes, sharps, extreme-temperature materials, and materials weighing up to 40 pounds is required; workplace safety training is provided as needed.
  • Ability to don appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) required by the duties is required.

Responsibilities
  • Work in Dr. Won Hyuk Suh’s laboratory to learn and practice guided research involving the bioprinting of human stem cells.
  • Develop novel bioprinting methodologies for producing human stem cell-based organoids optimized for pharmacological screening.
