Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 6+ years of experience in accounting related roles
- CPA and Big Four public accounting experience strongly preferred
- Technology and SaaS industry experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and ability to apply ASC 606 required
- Experience working with NetSuite and Salesforce a plus
- Advanced Excel capabilities required
- Ability to work on and prioritize multiple projects while continuing to meet goals and deadlines for ongoing tasks, with minimal supervision
- Ability to identify errors and root causes of errors, and develop workable solutions or alternatives to avoid errors going forward
- Ability to continuously improve revenue processes and tools and manage projects to promote system improvements and efficiencies
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication and analytical skills
- Ability to interact with and build productive working relationships across all organizational levels and departments
Responsibilities
- Drive and support the month end close process, including preparing and reviewing relevant journal entries, performing balance sheet account reconciliations, and performing account analysis on period over period account fluctuations
- Assess the accounting treatment for new revenue agreements and products
- Lead process improvements to streamline revenue processes and shorten close timelines
- Support integration of new revenue streams into our existing systems
- Participate in various system automation and enhancement projects to promote more timely and accurate financial reporting
- Identify risks, assist in developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures, and implement internal control procedures
- Support the external audit firm with interim and year-end audit requests and with other ongoing audit requirements
- Prepare audit support for internal audits
- Conduct technical accounting research and assist with ad hoc projects as they arise
