  • 5–10 years of experience in a cyber security consulting or technical leadership role.
  • Must hold, or have the ability to obtain, UK Government Security Clearance.
  • At least one of the following certifications or an equivalent: CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CISA, ISO 27001, GICSP, or ISA62443.
  • Demonstrable experience of regulatory compliance and standards adherence.
  • Ability to stay current on threat intelligence and industry best practices.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders through exceptional presentation skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to multiple virtual and transnational teams and customers across concurrent projects.
  • Demonstrable understanding of using AI tools for productivity and securing AI environments.
  • Demonstrable evidence of business-support benefits undertaken and realised.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Willingness to work in the Bristol office at least 2–3 days per week in this hybrid role.
Responsibilities
  • Advise clients on secure architecture principles, including Secure by Design, network segmentation, and zero-trust frameworks, aligning technical solutions with business priorities.
  • Lead engagements involving high-level strategy and technical oversight, including consultancy on identity and access management, privileged access management, and data loss prevention.
  • Advise and assure compliance against frameworks, standards, and regulations including ISO 27001, ISA/IEC 62443, NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, NCSC CAF, NIS2, the Cyber Resilience Act, the AI Act, and EASA Part-IS.
  • Use AI tools to optimise internal delivery and advise customers on secure AI adoption, governance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage and execute multiple client engagements, prioritising deliverables, driving project timelines, producing quality consulting outputs, and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Produce risk assessments and assurance artefacts across the full system lifecycle, considering technical and human factors.
  • Translate technical gaps and architectural risks into prioritised remediation plans and advise delivery teams and business stakeholders on compliance and cyber resilience.
  • Conduct cybersecurity gap assessments against relevant standards, frameworks, and regulations; identify control deficiencies and deliver remediation roadmaps.
  • Devise and test cyber-resilience strategies that help clients withstand and respond to cyber incidents.
  • Evaluate system architectures and technical configurations against security baselines and Secure by Design principles; identify vulnerabilities and provide recommendations.
  • Author technical blogs, white papers, and insights on emerging security trends.
  • Support Sales and Marketing colleagues with technical representation at customer and marketing events.
  • Develop case studies and service descriptions aligned with the services portfolio.
  • Represent Airbus at webinars, industry panels, and conferences.
  • Participate in bid processes and support customer relationship management to identify new opportunities.

Airbus A350F freighter completes maiden flight with 4.3m cargo door for servers

Airbus has successfully completed the first flight of its A350F freighter, bringing the aerospace giant closer to delivering a high-capacity cargo aircraft. The plane took off from Airbus headquarters in Toulouse, France, flying for four hours and ten minutes and reaching 25,000 feet. The A350F can carry a payload of 109 tonnes, compared to 64 tonnes for the existing A330F. It features a 4.3-metre cargo door large enough to accommodate turbofan engines and high-density computer servers. Airbus claims the A350F is more efficient than Boeing's rival 777F, despite having slightly less capacity. The company has already received orders for 115 A350Fs. A second test aircraft is nearly complete as Airbus begins the certification process requiring hundreds of test flights.

Airbus and Qantas back $30M funding for Australian SAF developer Jet Zero

Jet Zero Australia has raised $30 million to advance Project Ulysses, a commercial-scale sustainable aviation fuel and renewable diesel refinery in Townsville. The funding round was backed by institutional investors including Qantas and Airbus, both returning investors from 2023. South Korean company Posco International joined as a new strategic investor, with the parties exploring opportunities in fuel offtake, infrastructure and feedstock. The capital will fund completion of Front-End Engineering Design and support the project's progress towards Final Investment Decision and construction. Founded in 2021 by Ed Mason, Jet Zero develops biofuels production capacity in regional Australia. The project has received its final Development Permit Decision Notice from Queensland's Office of the Coordinator-General. It is expected to create approximately 1,000 construction jobs and 100 permanent operational roles.

Airbus shelves stricter office return plan after Spanish union strikes

Airbus has postponed its plan to reduce remote working after strikes by Spanish unions, Reuters reports. The aerospace manufacturer will allow employees to continue working from home an average of two days per week, shelving indefinitely a push to limit remote work to one day. Chief Executive Guillaume Faury had sought to require white-collar staff on-site four days weekly by September, citing the need for knowledge transfer. Spanish unions said roughly 40% of Airbus's 14,000 Spanish employees have walked out over remote work policies, transport, leave and wages. An Airbus spokesperson said the company would implement the transition "more gradually" based on employee feedback. French unions estimate a quarter to a third of Airbus's workforce has been hired in the past three years. Aircraft production has not been affected by the disruptions.
