Requirements
  • Experience in B2B software-as-a-service support for non-technical end users, customer success at a product-led company, or an operations role focused on resolving operational issues.
  • Ability to write warm, accurate, jargon-free customer responses consistently.
  • Curiosity about how software works, including reading error messages, inspecting user interfaces, and working with SQL queries, log files, or command-line prompts.
  • Comfort using artificial intelligence tools in daily workflows and judging the accuracy of their output.
  • Ability to stay organized in a queue-driven environment and manage multiple open customer threads without losing follow-up commitments.
  • Ability to maintain a high standard for ticket resolution until the customer is fully taken care of.
  • Patience and empathy when assisting frustrated customers.
Responsibilities
  • Own the customer inbox by triaging incoming tickets, responding clearly and promptly, and keeping customers informed about their issues.
  • Investigate bugs end-to-end by reproducing issues, using internal tooling and artificial intelligence triage agents to gather evidence, and preparing handoffs for engineering when code changes are needed.
  • Track open bugs with engineering, obtain timelines and estimated completion dates, and translate engineering updates into clear customer-facing language.
  • Close the loop with customers after bugs are fixed, questions are answered, or workarounds are found.
  • Use bug-triage agents, a product knowledge system, query assistants, and related artificial intelligence tools to speed up support investigations and provide feedback on improving them.
  • Identify recurring customer issues and flag patterns to product and engineering teams.
  • Contribute to the knowledge base by writing articles that answer recurring customer questions.
Desired Qualifications
  • Background in equipment rental, construction, agriculture, or another field-services industry.
  • Experience with support platforms such as Pylon, Zendesk, or Intercom, and with Slack, Linear, or Jira for cross-functional bug tracking.
  • Familiarity with reading application programming interfaces, JSON, or basic SQL, or willingness to learn them quickly.
  • Experience at a growing company where processes were being built alongside ongoing work.

Moab builds software for equipment rental businesses and dealerships. The product helps run operations by managing rentals, inventory, pricing, reservations, maintenance, invoicing, and reporting in a single cloud-based system that can be accessed via web (and mobile where applicable). It offers modules for rental management, dealership sales, and related back-office tasks, so users can track assets, bookings, customer data, and finances in one place. Moab differentiates itself by targeting a wide range of users—from new-generation entrepreneurs to market leaders—backed by venture funding to support scalability and growth, with a focus on the equipment rental and dealership domain rather than generic software. Its goal is to help rental and dealer businesses operate more efficiently and grow their operations through an integrated, scalable platform that handles the end-to-end rental lifecycle.
