ParkMundo, a travel technology company, has raised €2.3 million in seed funding to expand its airport parking marketplace and B2B distribution platform. It is the company's first external funding after more than a decade of self-funded, profitable growth. Angel investors with technology and travel experience backed the round, alongside financing from Rabobank. Founded in 2013 as Vliegen en Parkeren, ParkMundo began as a parking comparison website. It now works with more than 850 partners in 15 countries across four continents. Airlines, online travel agencies and other travel brands can add parking to their booking flows through APIs and partner integrations. ParkMundo also uses AI to optimise parking prices. The company will use the money to develop its technology, expand abroad and add travel partners.

Online supermarket Picnic has completed a sustainability framework linked to its existing €220 million revolving credit facility. The financing, provided since 2024 by BNP Paribas, ING, Rabobank, and ABN AMRO, now includes a mechanism where financing costs fluctuate based on Picnic's sustainability performance. Three key performance indicators have been established: reducing greenhouse gas emissions, cutting food waste, and increasing the share of organic fruit and vegetables in sales. Picnic aims for 30% growth in fresh organic produce sales. The company also targets reducing food waste to below 0.5% of all food sold and decreasing Scope 3 emission intensity in line with 1.5°C reduction pathways. Co-founder Michiel Muller said sustainability is embedded in how Picnic works, innovates, and scales. The sustainability-linked loan ties financing costs to achieving predetermined sustainability goals rather than funding specific sustainable projects.
BIOWEG, an industrial biotech company based in Elsdorf, Germany, has closed a €30 million Series A extension, comprising €2 million from Rabobank Ventures and €10.3 million in EU funding through the Produktives.NRW grant competition. This follows a €16 million Series A raised in September 2025, bringing total funding to €46 million. The company develops biodegradable ingredients to replace acrylic polymer-based microplastics in consumer and industrial products. The capital will fund construction of Europe's largest bacterial cellulose production plant in Elsdorf, set to begin in Q4 2026. Once operational in 2028, the facility will produce up to 10,000 tonnes of bacterial cellulose annually using molasses and agriculture industry byproducts as feedstock.
