Hourly Base Pay: $18.00, plus $5.00 per hour training pay.

Within the first 90 days working at T-Mobile, Mobile Associates receive on-the-job training and are eligible for hourly training pay. Once completed, Mobile Associates promote to the Mobile Expert role and become eligible for an annualized incentive target of $18,000/year. Actual incentives vary based on performance and full-time status. All employees at T-Mobile are guaranteed to earn $20/hour inclusive of base pay and incentives. U-wifi partners with T-Mobile to offer affordable 5G internet after FCC subsidy programme ends

U-wifi, a 5G home and business internet provider, has announced a Mobile Virtual Network Operator agreement with T-Mobile to expand affordable internet access across the US. The programme, launching on 1 October, aims to address connectivity gaps following the expiration of the FCC Affordable Connectivity Program, which previously subsidised internet for 23 million households. The initiative will combine T-Mobile's 5G network with U-wifi's FreeU technology, an ad-supported platform that allows subscribers to reduce or eliminate monthly bills by watching advertisements. The service targets underserved communities, low-income households, students, seniors, and veterans. U-wifi CEO Donald Workman said internet access has become "essential infrastructure", whilst T-Mobile's Dirk Mosa emphasised the company's commitment to keeping people connected without compromising on speed or experience.

T-Mobile adds ai-powered AutoPilot to make its 5G network more resilient. T-Mobile is leaning further into AI-driven automation to keep its network running smoothly, both during everyday operations and in the middle of major storms and events. The carrier announced new AutoPilot capabilities built into its Self-Organizing Network, along with the nationwide expansion of a demand-forecasting tool called Dynamic CX. According to T-Mobile's announcement, AutoPilot uses intent-based AI automation to figure out what adjustments are needed to hit a specific network outcome, so if a cell site goes down, the system can quickly determine how nearby sites should compensate while engineers work on the underlying problem. T-Mobile says recent testing showed AutoPilot cutting the time needed for real-time network adjustments roughly in half. Dynamic CX, which uses AI to anticipate demand spikes ahead of major events like concerts or sporting events and adjust network performance automatically, is now rolling out nationwide after being used at events like this summer's international soccer championship and Lollapalooza. T-Mobile pointed to Winter Storm Fern as a real-world proof point for its existing Self-Organizing Network technology, saying SON helped keep sites online for more than 250,000 additional minutes across more than 30 states during that storm by conserving backup battery power and making more than 30,000 antenna adjustments. The company also says hybrid generators can now keep network sites operational up to 50% longer during extended power outages, and that new telemetry integrated into backup-power systems gives field teams real-time visibility into site conditions so they can prioritize resources faster. "The next era of network resilience is about building a network that can think, adapt and act faster in the moments that matter," said John Saw, T-Mobile's Chief Technology Officer, in the announcement. The timing lines up with National Preparedness Month, and T-Mobile noted it supported preparedness and response for nearly 200 incidents and planned events in 2026 alone, working alongside first responders and government agencies, underscoring how central AI-driven network management has become to the carrier's disaster response strategy this year.

Earlier this week, it was reported that T-Mobile was gearing up to offer a new set of perks to its subscribers, with options potentially including subscriptions to Apple Music, YouTube, DoorDash's DashPass, and more. Now, it appears that those new perks may be coming on Thursday, October 1. Its top deals of the day. The Mobile Report reported yesterday that, based on information from a source within T-Mobile, it expected something - likely the new perks mentioned above - to launch today, September 23. Now, though, it says that that launch has been delayed, "likely" until the beginning of next month. None of this is official yet, so take it with a grain of salt. Based on information from The Mobile Report, potential new perks for T-Mobile subscribers include subscriptions related to Apple Music, YouTube, SiriusXM, Paramount Plus, ESPN Plus, Xbox Game Pass, Google AI, and DashPass. Android Authority don't know what exactly those perks would entail, however. Apple Music and DashPass are straightforward enough, but many of the other services listed offer multiple different products and tiers of service. YouTube, for example, could mean YouTube Music, YouTube Premium, or both. If you're a T-Mobile subscriber looking forward to some new perks, assume that the ones Android Authority is talking about here will be for the lowest tier of each service - Google AI Plus, Xbox Game Pass Essential, et cetera.
