What believers are saying

  • re-Astaloy 85 Mo launched June 2025 with a 14% lower product carbon footprint.
  • PowdrIQ opened in 2025, widening Höganäs' university recruiting and innovation funnel.
  • 2025 reporting says Höganäs began commercializing near-zero and net-zero offerings.

What critics are saying

  • The 2024 Alvier PM-Technology closure in Switzerland cut 29 jobs and signals pruning.
  • Qingpu relocation in 2026 risks production disruptions, qualification delays, and customer churn.
  • If SEALER qualification slips past 2027, the Blykalla partnership generates no commercial revenue.

What makes Höganäs unique

  • Höganäs pairs powder metallurgy leadership with verified sustainability claims, not marketing fluff.
  • The June 2025 re-portfolio ties products to ISO 14067-style carbon-footprint evidence.
  • The January 2025 Blykalla partnership targets corrosion-resistant alloys for SEALER reactor components.
