Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved School of Nursing.
  • Hold a current North Carolina registered nurse license or a multistate registered nurse licensure privilege through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • Have three years of clinic or medical-surgical nursing experience.
  • Hold Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Basic Life Support certifications.
  • Demonstrate physical assessment skills and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize accurately and quickly.
  • Demonstrate efficient computer skills within the service provided.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Maintain clinical and professional competency levels required for age-specific populations.
Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with people from a wide range of age groups, ethnic, educational, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Obtain basic vital signs and 12-lead electrocardiograms, and review pertinent health information with patients.
  • Monitor laboratory results and report them to the physician.
  • Triage patient phone calls.
  • Manage prescription refills and requests.
  • Receive incoming referrals and schedule patient appointments according to clinic guidelines.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • Two or more years of nursing experience in cardiology preferred.
  • Computer skills including Epic, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Teams preferred.
