He remembers waking up at 2 a.m. wanting to use, and calling his peer specialist, Jesse, to talk him down. Now Chuck does the same for others. "It's fulfilling to walk someone out to the car when they leave the hospital for rehab," he says. "I did my part - what happens next is up to them. But we don't give up on people.
