About the job
- Three to five years of nonprofit experience.
- Knowledge of financial statements, general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, Sage Intacct, and QuickBooks Online.
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate with stakeholders, including the bishop, pastors, and parish bookkeepers.
- Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment when handling difficult or sensitive information while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Support the Diocese Controller and Chief Financial Officer.
- Ensure that financial reports for the Diocese Chancery office are completed accurately and on time.
- Assist with preparation for month-end and year-end close.
- Assist with general ledger account reconciliations.
- Travel within the Diocese of Jefferson City as necessary.
