About the job

Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • At least five years of experience building and operating backend services in production is required.
  • Demonstrated experience designing backend services, including defining service boundaries, contracts, and data ownership, is required.
  • Business-level fluency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking, is required.
  • Experience working in a large, heavily coupled codebase and incrementally extracting or bypassing functionality behind behavior-preserving contracts is desired.
  • Fluency in TypeScript and Node.js, and comfort with edge runtimes, are desired.
  • Hands-on experience with monorepo tooling at scale, such as Nx or Turborepo, and understanding build-graph correctness as a product concern are desired.
  • The candidate should approach migration work as engineering, account for silent failures, verify generated output, and favor bug-for-bug translation when proving behavior has not changed.
  • The candidate should enjoy partnering with product teams as platform customers, adapting the platform to their workflows, and measuring success through adoption.
  • The candidate should be comfortable working across cloud boundaries and evaluating workload placement, latency, and spending tradeoffs.
  • The candidate should communicate decisions clearly in writing and be willing to identify when the fastest answer differs from the right answer.
  • The candidate should demonstrate curiosity and openness to growth, proactively embrace AI, and build and apply fluency in emerging technologies.
Responsibilities
  • Design and build Nest.js service scaffolding that enables product teams to create backend services in the next-generation monorepo.
  • Implement paved paths, generators, and platform primitives so new services work from day one without extensive setup.
  • Build the seams that allow new services to run independently of the existing monolith.
  • Own deployment for services and web applications on Cloudflare, and interoperability with the existing AWS and Kubernetes environment managed through Pulumi and Argo CD.
  • Lead migrations of substantial codebases into the monorepo and make each migration a repeatable process.
  • Partner directly with product teams as platform customers, using their adoption as a measure of success and their friction to inform the backlog.
  • Encode lessons into tooling, generators, and agent-assisted workflows to reduce the cost of future migrations.
  • Participate in engineering citizenship activities, including co-authoring engineering blogs, strengthening hiring processes, and leading internal hackathon teams.

North partners with Webflow to launch native embedded checkout, eliminating payment redirects for enterprise eCommerce

North, a US-based fintech company processing over $100 billion in annual transaction volume, has partnered with Webflow to launch Embedded Checkout by North. The integration, now available in the Webflow Marketplace, enables native payment processing directly within Webflow's design environment, eliminating external checkout redirects. The solution includes one-click mobile wallets supporting Apple Pay and Google Pay, reduced PCI compliance burden through tokenised architecture, and real-time merchant boarding insights. North processes payments through its owned processor, Electronic Payment Exchange. The partnership also creates a revenue-sharing programme for Webflow Partner agencies, allowing them to earn recurring income from deployed payment engines. North, founded in 1992, serves businesses ranging from small merchants to large enterprises.

Webflow Releases vs Framer branching: staging a whole site.

Webflow Releases vs Framer branching: staging a whole site. Framer lists branching and a staging environment as Pro features today. Webflow's whole-site Releases is a beta later this year, and its existing page branching sits on a plan at 2,500 dollars a month. If you need to stage a large change to a live site today, Framer can do it and Webflow mostly cannot. Framer lists Branching with previews and a Staging environment as Pro features. Webflow announced Releases on 1 September 2026, which branches an entire site including CMS content and locales, and it is a beta later this year. The gap is price as much as feature. On Webflow the branching that exists today sits on a plan at $2,500 a month on an annual contract, which Growna covered in Webflow's May 2026 plan changes. On Framer it sits on Pro, which is the plan a serious marketing site is on anyway, for reasons set out in what Framer gates behind which plan. What to do until Releases ships. * Duplicate the site for a big redesign and build there, then move the finished work across. It is clumsy and it is what most Webflow teams do. * Keep CMS changes and design changes in separate passes. The painful part of a merge without branching is content edited in two places. * Plan the redirect table before the switch, not after. A staged launch still breaks old URLs if the table is wrong, which Growna covered in how Webflow 301 redirects behave.

Webflow launches Source agentic workspace for marketers.

Webflow launches Source agentic workspace for marketers. SEP 2, 2026 Webflow's new Source platform gives marketing teams and AI agents shared, governed access to site code - its biggest push yet beyond visual website building. The gist. * AI-powered workspace. Source offers marketing teams code-native AI agent workspaces. * Unified collaboration. Marketers and agencies can build and manage digital experiences together. * Team productivity boost. Marketing leaders gain tools for faster, governed site updates with less reliance on engineering workflows. BOSTON - Webflow on Sept. 2 unveiled Source by Webflow at Webflow Conf 2026 at the Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport. The platform, available as a limited research preview, gives marketing teams and AI agents a shared workspace to build, optimize and scale digital experiences, according to company officials. The announcement came as Webflow execs took center stage in the blue-stained keynote room at the Beantown hotel. CEO Linda Tong set the stage for a future of "marketing excellence" where developers, designers and agents work together genuinely in real-time. Likely reading the room of possibly-jaded marketers and developers, Tong added she has no doubt marketers believe in this vision but "can also tell you we are nowhere close to it yet." Tong promised Webflow would partner with marketers to realize this vision, evolving the web platform in how it works and "who it fundamentally works for." After all, as Webflow CMO Dave Steer said on stage Wednesday morning, AI Agents, which didn't exist a few short years ago, have their own budget line and read our websites just like we do. "It has to serve marketers and now agents the way it has always served developers and designers," Tong added about technology like Webflow's, "and it has to bring this new team of builders together... for this next era on the web." The AEO narrative: future of marketing. Marketers and brands still struggle to make sense of the intersection of AI search, search engine optimization and declining organic traffic. So it's not all cupcakes and flowers finding success in AI visibility. It's HARD. Guy Yalif, the company's chief evangelist, shared on stage this morning how hard it is; results from a study on AEO maturity of US brands found the median company shows up in only 16% of the AI answers it would want to be part of, and earns a citation link just 6% of the time. But he and Webflow execs on stage also extolled the virtues of its AEO, or Answer Engine Optimization offering, because, as Yalif said, your CEO is likely to often ask, "How we doing with AI search?" He shared some positive numbers of AI visibility and citations with Webflow technologies baked into the backend of web development. "This is the future of how marketing is done, and it's working today," Yalif said, citing for Webflow customers 120% more citation links back to their site, and 50% more organic traffic in production today than non-Webflow customers. Inside the world of Webflow Source. The platform news today aims to start that journey in web and content experiences. Source connects to existing codebases and martech stacks, giving AI agents direct access to site code rather than routing work through a visual abstraction layer. This composable approach lets agents perform production-level tasks while brand standards, permissions and business rules govern what ships. The announcement also included agent collaboration features, Webflow Campaigns, enhancements to the Webflow Model Context Protocol (MCP) and asset production capabilities powered by its earlier acquisition of Vidoso. "Clients used to ask us about AI for one reason: speed. Now they expect it to scale across the website lifecycle and make them better marketers, not just faster ones. That's where Source comes in: build a page from a prompt, run agents with real guardrails so work gets done while you sleep, and give everyone on the team a view of only what they need to touch." - Matt Varughese, Partner/CEO, 8020 Webflow Source feature breakdown. | Capability | Description | | Source by Webflow | Agentic workspace giving agents and marketers shared, governed code access | | Agent collaboration | Real-time agent activity tracking in site logs (this month) | | Webflow Campaigns | Agent-assisted landing pages with HubSpot/Salesforce integration (fall) | | MCP updates | GSAP interactions, expanded CMS access and cloud deploy tooling (this month) | | Asset production (Vidoso) | Agents for brand-consistent image and video creation (early next year) | Recent Webflow news. Backed by more than $330 million in total funding - including a $120 million Series D closed in October 2025 at a $4 billion valuation - Webflow has shifted from visual website builder to AI-first marketing platform under CEO Linda Tong. The company laid groundwork in 2025 with Webflow Cloud for full-stack app hosting, real-time collaboration and App Gen for building production-grade applications natively. The pace accelerated in 2026. A February Claude connector enabled Anthropic's model to design pages, manage content and run site audits. In March, Webflow acquired Vidoso.ai, a startup using large language models to generate brand-consistent marketing collateral. On July 21, the company released MCP 2.0, adding brand controls, permissions and analytics for AI agents - with adoption by more than 30% of enterprise customers and fourfold usage growth since January. How agentic platforms scale web experiences. Agentic marketing platforms embed AI agents that reason, act and optimize across content and workflows - removing the need for teams to coordinate every step. From composable to agentic. Forrester describes "agentic digital experience platforms" as systems that actively coordinate composable components rather than simply assemble them. AI agents operate under human direction, accelerating experimentation and personalization at scale. The MCP standard is central to this shift, enabling agents to pull real-time customer data from CRM systems, match it against content libraries and deliver tailored messages to micro-segments. Governance & collaboration demands. As adaptive agents replace hard-coded logic in the martech stack, governance becomes a primary concern. Vendors now centralize brand compliance controls and build governed orchestration layers as a design standard. Marketing ops teams face a structural challenge: faster agent-driven iteration demands QA, change management and vendor evaluation at a DevOps-style cadence, not an annual planning cycle. Learning Opportunities Adoption curve & differentiation. Gartner placed agentic marketing at the peak of inflated expectations on its 2026 Hype Cycle. Only 17% of organizations have deployed AI agents so far, though more than 60% expect to within two years - the most aggressive adoption curve Gartner tracked among emerging technologies this year. As agentic features converge across vendors, differentiation shifts to integration depth, data access and governance quality. Webflow background. Founded in 2013 in San Francisco, Webflow targets marketing and creative teams building and managing websites without coding expertise. Webflow's new OpenAI Codex integration simplifies site management.

Webflow's new OpenAI Codex integration simplifies site management. Webflow adds Codex support and built-in Skills that vastly simplify using AI to manage content, site optimization, and development tasks. Webflow announced that its integration with OpenAI has expanded to Codex along with new default skills that make it easier to automate common workflows. The new skills enable natural-language prompting without needing to know the specifics of APIs or other technical details. The new integration builds on Webflow MCP 2.0, which enabled ChatGPT to have structured access to Webflow sites. "Today, we're expanding our partnership: Webflow is now available in Codex, alongside a new set of built-in Skills for both ChatGPT and Codex that make common Webflow workflows even easier to automate." Skills package together the right tools, context, and best practices for common Webflow workflows, so instead of figuring out which APIs to call or which sequence of prompts to use, you simply describe what you want to accomplish. ChatGPT or Codex will automatically select the right Webflow Skill on your behalf." * Site audits * CMS management * Safe publishing / pre-publish validation * Developer workflows Codex can understand website context. An interesting aspect of the new Skills is that they can work with the context of a Webflow website. Their Help documentation explains: "Because skills use the context of your actual Webflow site, Codex can work with your real Collections, pages, and site structure, not just what you include in a prompt. Using skills doesn't require AI credits." Existing Webflow permissions still apply. The Help documentation also explains how access to Webflow works. Anyone with a Webflow site role other than Reviewer can connect to the MCP server. The MCP integration respects the user's existing permissions, so connecting Codex does not give someone greater access to a site than their Webflow role allows. Codex is accessed through the ChatGPT desktop app. Users switch to Codex, install the Webflow plugin, and then authorize the individual sites or Workspaces they want Codex to access. Using the built-in Skills does not require AI credits. Webflow's Codex integration democratizes AI. Webflow's MCP integration now reaches Codex, and its new Skills make natural-language workflows easy. All users have to do is describe what they want to do, and Codex or ChatGPT handles it from there. The new integration makes it easier to take advantage of the power of AI, putting it within reach of everyone.
