About the job

Requirements
  • Experience building software that people rely on and caring about its behavior in use.
  • A product-minded approach, including understanding user problems before selecting solutions and speaking directly with users.
  • Familiarity with go-to-market team workflows and systems across sales, outbound, customer success, and marketing, with the ability to learn an unfamiliar technology stack quickly.
  • Interest in APIs, integrations, data models, automation, and reliability, with systems-level thinking.
  • Pragmatism in choosing between configuring existing tools and writing code.
  • Experience using AI in work and evaluating where it is useful versus where simpler approaches are better.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ownership, including turning underspecified problems into useful solutions.
  • Ability to communicate technical systems clearly to users and convey user problems to builders.
  • Previous ownership of software procurement, including buying, configuring, and rolling out new tools.
Responsibilities
  • Build and run software and systems used by the revenue team, working directly with users to identify problems, develop solutions, and own them end to end.
  • Work with BDRs, AEs, Customer Success, Marketing, and GTM leadership to identify repetitive work, information loss between systems, and obstacles in existing tools.
  • Determine and implement appropriate solutions, such as automations, integrations, internal tools, AI workflows, or custom software; simplify processes or remove tools where appropriate.
  • Talk with users to understand underlying problems, ship solutions, and follow up to assess whether they helped.
  • Understand how data and workflows move between GTM tools, decide where logic should live, and evolve the systems stack as the company changes.
  • Build systems that are understandable and dependable rather than relying on fragile one-off automations.
  • Own software in production by debugging and fixing integrations or workflows and improving the underlying systems.
  • Experiment with AI agents and models, measure their usefulness in workflows, and turn successful approaches into dependable tools.

incident.io launches PagerDuty rescue with contract buyouts and 99.99% uptime guarantee

incident.io has launched the PagerDuty Rescue Program, offering automated migration, contract buyouts and a 99.99% uptime guarantee to companies switching from PagerDuty. The AI-powered incident management platform, used by over 2,000 companies including Netflix and Airbnb, aims to capitalise on frustration with PagerDuty's perceived lack of innovation. The programme includes contract buyouts offering up to one year of free service, white-glove migration support, and AI-first on-call capabilities that autonomously investigate alerts by correlating deployments, logs and past incidents. CEO Stephen Whitworth said PagerDuty "stopped innovating years ago" and customers stayed only because migration was difficult. Founded in 2021, incident.io has raised over $100 million from Insight Partners, Index Ventures and Point Nine Capital. The programme is available immediately to PagerDuty customers.
