  • Understand proper placement of components to ensure a high-quality product.
  • Understand and demonstrate the lugger-usage system.
  • Understand and demonstrate the use of gray and yellow rubber cans for disposal.
  • Be flexible to work overtime and on different production lines or positions as assigned.
  • Be able to communicate.
  • Be able to stand, reach, and bend; lift up to 50 pounds occasionally; and travel throughout the work area.
  • Work effectively with others and meet required production-line work and quality demands.
  • Report to the workstation on time wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Work with minimum supervision.
  • Follow safety rules and Good Manufacturing Practices in the assigned area.
  • Follow product quality standards and production personal protective equipment procedures.
  • Work around moving machinery, hot/cold/frozen products, loud noise, and wet or slippery floors while maintaining awareness of surroundings.
  • Never place any part of the body into moving machinery.
Responsibilities
  • Inspect components during the manufacturing process to ensure the required quality level.
  • Handle and place ingredients and components according to food-safety, quality, USDA, HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practices, and plant-recipe guidelines.
  • Report deviations involving product quality, machinery, or standards to the appropriate level of supervision.
  • Perform changeover and sanitation activities as required.
  • Produce the desired product according to production-line demands.
  • Ensure that products conform to recipe specifications and component-placement requirements.
  • Handle scoops, cups, and other utensils properly and return them after use.
  • Follow lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Perform duties assigned by the Team Leader or Production Team Leader.
  • Maintain a clean environment around the work area and keep items off electrical panels and boxes.
  • Place smocks properly and dispose of gloves, hairnets, and other supplies or materials in designated bins or containers.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.
