Requirements
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Assist all internal and external customers in a professional manner.
  • Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times.
  • Receive requests from phone, fax, e-commerce, and in-person sources and complete the necessary process for equipment services.
  • Coordinate home equipment service requests with Dispatch for prompt delivery.
  • Use active listening to confirm or clarify information and diffuse angry customers as needed.
  • Provide customers with product and service information.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payor sources for equipment.
  • Verify medical necessity, insurance coverage, and physician orders for all insurance-assigned services.
  • Follow policy and work instructions so the Billing Department has the correct paperwork to complete insurance processing.
  • Understand and strive to meet or exceed department metrics while providing excellent customer service.
  • Make sales or recommendations for products or services that may complement client needs, as applicable.
  • Greet customers as they enter the store.
  • Keep the showroom and shelf inventory clean, rotated, and in order.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Sit, talk, and hear regularly; use a computer and type frequently in Call Center, PAP, and Supply departments.
  • Occasionally stand and walk and lift or move up to 25 pounds, or up to 50 pounds for retail.

Pursuant to the definitive agreement, Quipt will acquire a 60% ownership interest in Hart Medical Equipment (“Hart“), with the remaining 40% interest collectively held by major health systems, Henry Ford Health, McLaren Health Care, Blanchard Valley Health System, Wood County Hospital and The Bellevue Hospital.
