Requirements
  • A secondary-school diploma or a college certificate is required; a bachelor's degree in a related field is also listed.
  • Three to five years of experience in a similar management or supervisor role is required.
  • Experience managing employees in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • French proficiency is required at level 5/5 spoken and 4/5 written.
  • English proficiency is required at level 3/5 spoken and written, including basic discussions and providing clear work instructions.
  • Autonomy, resourcefulness, teamwork, flexibility, communication, leadership, and collaboration skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure established production objectives are achieved under the supervision of the production manager.
  • Plan, control, and evaluate production results, and provide employee training when needed.
  • Coordinate production processes in accordance with company policies, regulations, and legal obligations.
  • Oversee the proper operation of the plant and coordinate production and employees.
  • Contribute actively to continuous improvement and achievement of the company's key objectives.
  • Manage plant priorities according to the work shift.
  • Prepare detailed production reports.
  • Maintain production quantity and quality standards.
  • Ensure all employees work safely.
  • Monitor employee attendance and follow up on absenteeism as needed.
  • Participate actively in the disciplinary management process.
  • Participate in lockout inspections.
  • Participate in the management of hot-work permits.
  • Lead daily production meetings.
  • Supervise equipment repairs.
  • Work closely with the quality department to maintain standards.
  • Participate in inventory counts.
  • Participate in organizing work schedules, including vacations, personal days, and absences.
  • Enforce the collective agreement.
  • Perform other related duties.
