Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • The June 2025 SPF 50 launch extends wallets per customer and improves seasonality.
  • Company accounts stay active through 2026, with no insolvency history reported.
  • Smart Works partnership and referral donations support retention and low-cost customer acquisition.

What critics are saying

  • Boots and Dermatica undercut Skin + Me on price, compressing margins in 2026.
  • New retailer routines without subscriptions commoditize the brand and weaken recurring revenue.
  • If prescription-led growth stalls, Skin + Me becomes a costly skincare retailer, not a defensible platform.

What makes Skin + Me unique

  • Skin + Me pairs dermatologist prescriptions with pharmacist compounding and 28-day subscriptions.
  • 2024 retail expansion into John Lewis and Boots broadens discovery beyond DTC.
  • 2025 revenue reached £37.5 million, showing scale unusual for tele-dermatology startups.
