Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least seven years of complex solution-selling experience in technology sales and/or selling to public safety agencies.
  • Experience developing and executing complex sales strategies that require multiple months to close.
  • A strong understanding of sales principles, techniques, and strategies.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with customers at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently in a self-motivated, results-driven manner.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, 50% or more, to meet customers and attend industry events.
Responsibilities
  • Expand existing customer relationships by identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services to existing clients across the assigned service-center region.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and market research.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within customer organizations.
  • Collaborate with technical teams at each location to identify opportunities for service expansion.
  • Identify potential new customers within the geographic territory and develop strategies to expand the customer base.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape in assigned territories.
  • Develop and execute territory-specific sales plans and initiatives to achieve growth targets.
  • Work with Regional Account Managers and Business Development Managers on large strategic initiatives with requirements based on complexity, deal size, or other criteria.
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive customer database containing contact information, sales history, and customer preferences.
  • Conduct presentations and product demonstrations for potential clients.
  • Provide customer service and act as a trusted advisor by addressing client needs and resolving issues promptly.
  • Engage regularly with customers to assess satisfaction, identify improvement opportunities, and address concerns.
  • Participate in local tradeshows, industry conferences, and networking events to promote services and generate leads.
  • Collaborate with Facilities Coordinators at each service center to identify strategic business-development efforts and local market opportunities.
  • Assist in developing marketing materials, presentations, and proposals to support sales activities.
  • Set sales targets and objectives aligned with company goals.
  • Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports on progress, achievements, and challenges to the management team.
  • Use customer relationship management tools and systems to track sales activities, manage leads, and generate accurate sales forecasts.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve sales targets.
