  • A sustained record of achieving sales goals, winning new enterprise customers, and expanding accounts profitably, with ability to explain personal contribution, deal complexity, revenue and margin outcomes, and how awarded business became an operating business.
  • Proven ability to lead long, complex sales cycles involving multiple decision makers, formal sourcing processes, legal and commercial negotiation, and cross-functional solution development, with strong consultative selling and value-based negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to earn trust with VP and C-suite leaders, facilitate strategic conversations, and connect logistics decisions to financial and business priorities.
  • Experience navigating multinational organizations and developing relationships beyond a single contact.
  • Strong understanding of Mexico–U.S. supply chains, cross-border transportation, and customs dependencies, and proven effectiveness with U.S. commercial teams and customers in a multicultural, matrix organization.
  • Fluent business English and Spanish, written and spoken, with ability to lead executive discovery, present a business case, negotiate, and deliver concise commercial updates in both languages.
  • Advanced Salesforce proficiency and disciplined account plans, stakeholder maps, qualification, stages, close dates, next steps, and risks; use of tools such as Gong and LinkedIn Sales Navigator; experience selling or supporting technology solutions and managing technology accounts, with understanding of software evaluation, subscription models, integrations, adoption, renewals, and expansion alongside transportation sales.

  • Lead consultative discovery by understanding customer operating models, cost drivers, service risks, and growth priorities; quantify the impact of current challenges and build business cases around total cost, reliability, visibility, resilience, and accountability.
  • Develop active relationships across Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Finance, IT, Operations, and executive leadership; develop champions, reach economic buyers, and maintain multi-threaded engagement across Mexico, the U.S., and global stakeholders.
  • Own complex enterprise deals by leading qualification, RFIs and RFQs, solution workshops, proposals, negotiations, and closure; apply MEDDPIC to validate customer value, decision criteria, buying process, champions, competition, and procurement requirements; and maintain customer-aligned close plans.
  • Sell integrated logistics and technology solutions, combining domestic and cross-border trucking, customs, freight forwarding, warehousing, cross-dock, pooling, and intermodal with TMS SaaS, LCC control towers, and MTS managed transportation solutions; work with specialists to define the right mix of software, services, and capacity for each customer.
  • Lead logistics technology sales by developing software and technology-enabled opportunities through process discovery, demonstrations, technical evaluation, and business cases; engage IT, security, and business stakeholders; and align integration, implementation, subscription economics, and adoption with Product and Solutions teams.
  • Partner with U.S. sellers on shared account plans, proposals, and expansion across plants, divisions, and services.
  • Ensure solutions can be delivered by engaging Procurement, Operations, Customs, Solutions, Finance, Legal, and Technology early; validate carrier appetite, capacity, rate validity, economics, and launch requirements before commitments; surface late-stage opportunities in joint reviews; and resolve blockers with clear ownership.
  • Carry customer commitments through launch by agreeing handoffs, onboarding milestones, and first-load readiness with implementation and operations owners; remain commercially accountable through ramp-up, communicate realistic commitments, address gaps quickly, and lead QBRs and expansion plans after launch.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience selling TMS SaaS, control tower, or managed transportation solutions; leading demonstrations and technical discovery with specialists; and managing technology adoption, renewals, and expansion.
  • Experience developing automotive, consumer goods, retail, or industrial accounts and nearshoring opportunities.

Uber Freight bets big on Europe with 2027 Krakow hub, eyes $542B freight market

Uber Freight is expanding its European logistics business with a new control tower and operations hub in Krakow, Poland, set to open in 2027. The facility will be the company's second European location alongside its operations in the Netherlands. The expansion is driven by North American customers seeking to consolidate transportation management with fewer logistics providers. Uber Freight sees significant opportunity in Europe's road freight market, valued at roughly $520 billion, with trucks transporting 13.3 billion tonnes of goods across the EU in 2025. The company doubled its new fourth-party logistics deals in Europe last year. Chemical manufacturer OXEA recently selected Uber Freight to manage transportation across the US, Canada, Mexico and Europe. Mike Doucleff will lead the European expansion as head of Europe, starting 28 September.

Uber Freight hires Amazon and Convoy veteran as CPO to boost AI-driven logistics platform

Uber Freight has appointed Amir Pelleg as chief product officer to advance its AI-driven transportation management platform. Pelleg brings over 25 years of experience leading product, engineering and operations teams at companies including Amazon, Convoy and Dandy. The appointment reflects Uber Freight's focus on technology that helps customers make faster decisions and reduce supply chain complexity. Pelleg said AI can connect fragmented data across disconnected systems, enabling more proactive network management. He emphasised that effective products must address actual customer problems rather than simply deploy new technology. Pelleg cited fragmentation as a major obstacle facing modern supply chains, with data often siloed across different systems. San Francisco-based Uber Technologies operates three platforms: Uber ride-hailing, Uber Freight logistics, and Uber Eats delivery services.

Uber Freight revenue rises $47M year-on-year as operating loss narrows to $30M

Uber Freight reported its first year-on-year revenue increase in two years, rising to $1.34 billion from $1.26 billion in the first quarter. The digital broker recorded an operating loss of $30 million for the quarter. This marks the first time Uber reported its three segments—Mobility, Delivery and Freight—on an operating income basis rather than EBITDA. Previous quarters showed operating losses of $26 million, $40 million and $18 million for the second, third and fourth quarters of 2024, respectively. CEO Rebecca Tinucci attributed the revenue growth to strong enterprise demand and managed transportation performance, noting the company maintained service levels whilst competitors pulled back during market tightening. Uber Freight has only achieved positive EBITDA twice since inception, both in 2022.
