Junior Data Analyst

Summary:

The Junior Data Analyst will support data collection, data cleanup, quality checks, spreadsheets/databases, charts and tables, recurring reports, survey data, and ad hoc analytical requests.

Personnel are assigned in support of DHHQ in Falls Church, VA, but may work from the contractor facility or remotely when authorized.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Collect, compile, organize, and prepare data from multiple program sources for analysis and reporting.
• Perform routine data cleanup and quality checks to identify missing, inconsistent, duplicate, or inaccurate information.
• Enter, update, and maintain program data in spreadsheets, databases, and other approved data systems.
• Assist with maintaining the SCAADL Microsoft Access database and historical enrollment and participation information.
• Prepare recurring weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports using established procedures and reporting formats.
• Assist with preparing ad hoc reports and data requests, including raw data, charts, graphs, and tables.
• Develop basic charts, graphs, tables, and other data visualizations to support program reporting and presentations.
• Assist with analyzing DES and SCAADL program data, including population changes, participation, timeliness, and other established performance measures.
• Assist with compiling and reviewing data for DES and SCAADL performance reports and other program deliverables.
• Support survey data activities by collecting, cleaning, organizing, and reviewing survey results for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with IDES satisfaction survey activities, including preparing survey data, reports, graphs, and related materials.
• Pull MEB and PEB cohort lists from VTA and assist with reviewing data for accuracy, completeness, and survey eligibility.
• Assist with identifying and documenting data quality issues in program-related systems and escalating issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with system data support activities, including data validation, user acceptance testing, and documentation of identified issues.
• Maintain documentation and established procedures related to recurring reports and data processes.
• Assist senior analysts with gathering data, validating information, preparing analytical materials, and responding to Government data requests.
• Coordinate with team members and Government personnel to obtain and clarify data needed for assigned reporting and analytical tasks.
• Provide other support as needed.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with databases, data visualization, or reporting tools.
• Ability to organize, clean, validate, and analyze data.
• Ability to prepare accurate charts, tables, spreadsheets, and reports.
• Strong attention to detail and written communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, statistics, mathematics, information systems, business, computer science, or a related field preferred.
• 0–2 years of professional, internship, academic, or military experience involving data analysis, reporting, or data management.
• Tier 1/non-sensitive, with the applicable DHA background investigation and suitability requirements.

Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills): 

• Federal or DoD experience preferred but not required

Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $65,000.00 to $75,000.00 annually.
