What believers are saying

  • AppWork raised $7 million on March 13, 2026, after a $13 million Series A.
  • AppWork expanded its Top Maintenance Rating Program to 200 winners quarterly on July 1, 2026.
  • Inspectr integration, available August 3, 2026, deepens AI utility for mutual clients.

What critics are saying

  • Yardi, RealPage, and Entrata control property workflows and bundle maintenance features aggressively.
  • AppWork's AI tips are becoming table stakes as competitors add similar automation.
  • If platform bundling wins, AppWork loses standalone leverage and becomes a feature, not a company.

What makes AppWork unique

  • AppWork Intelligence adds AI tips to every work order, plus Inspectr integration on August 3, 2026.
  • Its mobile-first make-ready board reduces vacancy loss with collaborative unit-turn workflows.
  • Sean Landsberg and Michael Katz built AppWork from Dasmen Residential operator pain, not theory.

AppWork launches free incident and claims management platform for multifamily operators

AppWork, a maintenance management platform for multifamily property operators, has launched Incident & Claims Management, moving it into operational risk management. The tool is live for all clients at no extra cost. It lets operators document an incident, route it for approval, track it through the claim process, and close it out, with a full record of every step. Most operators now handle this through email threads, PDFs, and spreadsheets, which leaves claim records scattered and incomplete. New features include approval workflows, customisable claim statuses, a timeline of every edit, custom tags, and draft control. Weather data is attached automatically to each report. "Protecting your properties and your residents should be part of the product, not an upsell," said Sean Landsberg, chief executive officer of AppWork. Planned additions include a risk analytics dashboard and AI risk tools.

AppWork acquires Paraspot AI to bring video-based AI inspections to multifamily properties

AppWork, a maintenance operations and risk management platform for multifamily property operators, has acquired Paraspot AI, a video-based AI inspection platform. The companies did not disclose financial terms. Paraspot's technology guides residents and on-site teams through inspections, detecting damage such as cracks, stains, and broken or missing items. At move-out, it compares the unit with its move-in inspection and produces a report with time-stamped photos and estimated repair costs. AppWork plans to rebuild the technology into its own platform, with a release planned later this year. Paraspot co-founder and chief executive officer Yakir Saadia will become AppWork's head of computer vision. "We believe visual intelligence is going to be central to how multifamily operates moving forward," said AppWork chief executive officer Sean Landsberg.

AppWork launches AI-powered completion notes to turn technicians' brief updates into clear resident communication

AppWork has launched Enriched Completion Notes, an AI feature that automatically rewrites maintenance technicians' brief work order notes into detailed, professional updates for residents and operational records. The capability is available at no additional cost to all AppWork clients. The tool addresses a common problem in multifamily property maintenance: technicians typically write minimal completion notes like "Fixed" or "Reset breaker" whilst working between units. Enriched Completion Notes analyses these alongside work order details, photos, logged parts, and timelines to generate comprehensive notes in the technician's voice. The system corrects spelling and grammar, removes unprofessional language, and flags liability-creating terms whilst preserving original notes for staff reference. It also identifies incomplete repairs, pending parts, and repeat issues. "The industry has spent a decade trying to get technicians to write better notes," said Sean Landsberg, AppWork's co-founder and CEO. The feature is part of AppWork Intelligence, which includes Work Order Characterisation, Triage, and Auto-Assignment capabilities.

AppWork raises $7M to advance AI-powered multifamily maintenance solutions

Appwork, a Ramsey-based property technology platform for multifamily maintenance, has raised approximately $7 million in new financing led by Resolve Growth Partners. The round follows a $13 million Series A in 2025, bringing total recent investment to $20 million after the company achieved over 200% growth. The startup's mobile-first platform helps multifamily property owners and operators manage maintenance operations, addressing technician shortages and rising service demands. Appwork automates the maintenance lifecycle to reduce backlogs and improve resident satisfaction. The new capital will fund AI initiatives, product innovation and team expansion in engineering and client success. Since launching in 2022, Appwork has been adopted by NMHC Top 50 operators and mid-market property managers seeking to modernise maintenance operations and protect net operating income.
