Licenses and manufactures silicon-based battery materials
Sila Nanotechnologies develops and manufactures advanced battery materials to improve lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles and energy storage. Its Titan Silicon technology replaces part of traditional anode materials with silicon-based compounds to increase energy density, boosting range and performance. The company licenses its technology and sells high-performance battery materials to major battery and EV manufacturers, partnering with Panasonic to integrate its materials into their batteries. It plans to scale production across California and Washington to about 150 GWh in five years, aiming to lower costs and promote sustainability in EVs.
