CoRecruit vs Metaview for recruiter phone calls (2026).

CoRecruit vs Metaview for recruiter phone calls (2026). Josh Kirkham Last updated: Read time: Key takeaways. * CoRecruit and Metaview are both built for recruiting, but they serve different markets. CoRecruit is built for third-party agencies and staffing firms; Metaview is built for corporate TA teams running structured interview loops. * 91% of recruiter conversations happen over the phone. Metaview wasn't designed for that. CoRecruit was. 91% of recruiter conversations happen over the phone. That single data point (pulled from CoRecruit's own customer base) shapes how this comparison should be read. If a recruiting tool can't handle phone calls well, it's missing the channel where most of the job actually happens. So: CoRecruit vs Metaview. Both record and transcribe calls. Both use AI to surface insights, but they were built for different audiences, and that difference shows up fast when a recruiter is three calls deep into a search assignment and needs something that works in their workflow. Here's what the data shows. What is CoRecruit? CoRecruit is an AI recruiting platform built specifically for third-party staffing agencies. It handles call recording and transcription, but also AI-generated candidate submittals, job order documentation, and coaching scorecards, all in the same platform. The entire workflow is oriented around the call patterns that define agency recruiting: high-volume outbound, phone-first, fast turnaround. What is Metaview? Metaview is an AI meeting assistant built for hiring teams. It records and transcribes interviews, generates summaries, and helps with note-taking across video and audio calls. Metaview was designed for in-house recruiters running structured interviews on video platforms. That's its audience and its use case. Third-party staffing agencies, contingency recruiters, and search firms occupy a completely different world. Fast-moving sourcing calls. Candidate pitches. Client development conversations. Mostly outbound and over the phone. Metaview works well for what it was built for. That's just not what most agency recruiters do all day. CoRecruit vs Metaview: head-to-head comparison. The G2 data below is based on verified user reviews from both platforms. | Feature | CoRecruit | Metaview | | Product Direction Score | 9.9 | 9.4 | | Ease of Use | 9.0 | 9.6 | | Phone Call Support | Native | Limited | | Primary Audience | Staffing agencies (80.3%) | General HR / Recruiting | | AI Interview Agent Category | Yes (9.4) | No | | Video Interviewing Category | No | Yes | For a detailed comparison of the above, go here. Where CoRecruit has the edge. Phone calls are the primary workflow. CoRecruit handles the full lifecycle of a recruiter's call day: cold calls initiated directly from the browser, inbound call-backs, VoIP built into every plan with unlimited US/Canada calling. Metaview is designed for scheduled interviews already on the calendar. It doesn't support cold calling from the browser or inbound call-backs. When 91% of recruiter conversations happen over the phone (many of them unscheduled), this features gives a great edge. It automates what comes after the call. Metaview produces clean transcripts and summaries. CoRecruit takes that a step further: it generates client-ready candidate submittals, pushes structured data into specific ATS fields (not just a text dump into the notes section), and lets teams train the AI on their own examples so the output matches the agency's voice. That's the difference between a notetaker and a workflow tool. Built for agency recruiters specifically. 80.3% of CoRecruit's G2 reviewers are in staffing and recruiting. Metaview's user base spans computer software (14%), IT (12.4%), and financial services (9.3%) - it's a broader tool serving a broader audience. CoRecruit's 40+ integrations are also purpose-built for third-party recruiting firms, with ATS depth that goes beyond what generalist tools offer. Where Metaview has the edge. Built for structured video interviews. Metaview is purpose-built for the formal, calendar-driven interview loops that corporate TA teams run on Zoom and Google Meet. It holds an 8.5 score in the Video Interviewing category on G2. For in-house hiring teams running multi-stage interview processes, Metaview fits the workflow better. Features built for corporate TA. Metaview includes AI sourcing agents, interviewer coaching, job description generation, and hiring analytics. For corporate TA teams, that scope has appeal. For agency recruiters, most of those features sit outside the core workflow. Pricing. | Pricing | CoRecruit | Metaview | | Free tier | 7-day free trial | 25 conversations/month | | Entry price | $64/user/month (annual, 1+ users) | $60/user/month (monthly) | | Mid-tier | $54/user/month (annual, 10+ users) | Custom pricing | | Enterprise | $50/user/month (annual, 25+ users) | Custom pricing | | VoIP included | Yes - unlimited US/Canada | No | | ATS integration included | All plans | Pro and above | What does this mean for agency recruiters? The usability gap holds immense importance here. CoRecruit is built for recruiters running agency workflows, not general users taking meeting notes. The onboarding reflects that: it takes some setup to get scorecards, call recording, and submittal generation all working together. That setup pays off within weeks. Reviewers report meaningful improvements in scorecard adherence and time saved on candidate documentation. Metaview, for what it does, is very polished. If a team's primary need is clean interview transcripts and summaries for video calls with candidates or hiring managers, Metaview delivers that. But if the workflow is outbound sourcing calls, candidate pitches, and client development conversations, predominantly over the phone, then Metaview is not a fit. Figures from G2 comparison data based on verified user reviews. All scores current as of June 2026. Table of contents. Frequently asked questions. Does Metaview work for phone calls? Metaview supports audio recording, but its core product is optimized for video interviews on platforms like Zoom and Google Meet. Agency recruiters making high volumes of outbound phone calls will find CoRecruit's phone-first architecture a better fit. Is CoRecruit easier to use than Metaview? Based on G2 data, Metaview scores higher on ease of use (9.6 vs. 9.0) and ease of setup (9.6 vs. 8.8). CoRecruit's deeper feature set for agency workflows, scorecards, AI submittals, job order documentation, requires more initial configuration. That trade-off is intentional: the tool is built to do more. What is the AI Interview Agent in CoRecruit? CoRecruit's AI Interview Agent is a distinct G2 category where CoRecruit holds a 9.4 score. It goes beyond transcription to generate candidate submittals, populate job order documentation, and surface structured insights from calls - automating the admin work that follows a recruiting conversation.

Metaview launches Application Review, the most powerful agent for inbound recruiting.

Metaview launches Application Review, the most powerful agent for inbound recruiting. New agent expands Metaview's platform to review every inbound applicant in real-time, delivering 92% reduction in screening time while maintaining human control. Metaview, the AI recruiting platform built for winning talent, today announced the launch of Application Review, an AI-powered agent that reviews and sorts every inbound candidate against hiring teams' exact standards. No one gets into recruiting to be a human spam filter. With Application Review, recruiters can respond at the speed candidates expect without sacrificing quality or burning out their teams." - Siadhal Magos, Co-founder & CEO of Metaview With inbound applications up 45% year-over-year driven by the AI boom, high-volume recruiting has created a speed crisis. Candidates are applying everywhere, and companies that can't respond quickly are losing talent to faster competitors. The impact is measurable: according to Metaview's forthcoming AI & Hiring Alignment Report, 67% of companies lose qualified candidates to faster-moving competitors at least monthly. The research reveals that the speed crisis isn't theoretical. It's costing companies their best hires every single month. "Application Review represents a fundamental shift in how AI should work in recruiting, not as a replacement for human judgment, but as infrastructure that handles operational scale while keeping recruiters focused on what matters: connection and decision-making," said Siadhal Magos, Co-founder & CEO of Metaview. "No one gets into recruiting to be a human spam filter. With Application Review, recruiters can respond at the speed candidates expect without sacrificing quality or burning out their teams." Application Review solves this by providing continuous review with real-time candidate sorting, all while keeping humans firmly in control of final hiring decisions. Application Review delivers three core capabilities that set it apart from standalone tools: - Machine-speed ranking with human judgment: Every applicant is scored against a recruiter's Ideal Candidate Profile the moment they apply. When hiring criteria change or feedback is given, the entire candidate pool is re-reviewed in minutes. The AI never auto-rejects, recruiters always make the final call, with every decision syncing directly to their ATS. - Embedded in existing workflow: Unlike standalone screening products, Application Review is built into the same platform where teams already source, interview, and hire. Accept and reject actions push straight to your ATS with no context-switching or manual data transfer required. - Intelligence that compounds across the hiring process: Application Review leverages complete recruiting context - years of interview data, intake calls, and hiring decisions - to build sharper Ideal Candidate Profiles from day one. The system continuously learns from every accept, reject, and piece of feedback, ensuring rankings stay aligned with how teams actually hire, not just what the job description says. Early customers report a 92% reduction in screening time and 10x recruiter capacity, allowing teams to manage higher requisition loads without adding headcount. Application Review reviews 100% of candidates, ensuring no high-potential talent falls through the cracks while pre-screening flags low-fit profiles so recruiters can focus on applicants that match their role requirements.
