Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in strategic procurement, contract manufacturing, operations management, or a similar role.
  • Experience in the food-processing industry, especially with perishable products, is an asset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, multicultural, matrix environment.
  • Current people-leadership capabilities and demonstrated cross-functional or peer-to-peer leadership through coaching and stewardship.
  • Ability to anticipate issues and opportunities and work through multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Rigorous data-analysis capability and financial acumen.
  • Ability to develop and implement sustainable initiatives and lead change by engaging people.
  • English proficiency is mandatory.
Responsibilities
  • Develop sourcing strategies through market studies to identify best practices, gaps, risks, opportunities, new suppliers, and supplier-base development needs.
  • Conduct supply-market analysis and assess spend-category drivers to track markets, evaluate cost proposals, and align third-party manufacturing business with market conditions.
  • Support growth by identifying and implementing appropriate partnerships with retained suppliers.
  • Participate in make-or-buy processes for new initiatives to support sourcing decisions.
  • Execute strategic-sourcing best practices that support the business-unit strategic plan.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on pricing, quality, and supply-chain matters.
  • Implement supplier relationship management to improve supplier performance and establish quality, collaboration, innovation, and cost objectives.
  • Identify available innovation, production capacity, and capabilities.
  • Develop and launch requests for quotation and requests for proposal to select suppliers in targeted categories.
  • Analyze supplier proposals and make recommendations to key internal stakeholders.
  • Negotiate quality, timing, cost of service, and other commercial terms and conditions.
  • Lead contract-ratification activities and coordinate with supplier and Legal teams.
  • Execute the contract-management and administration lifecycle to maximize financial and operational performance and minimize risk.
  • Collaborate with Research and Innovation and Marketing innovation teams by providing insight into current capabilities, manufacturing-site potential, and economic feasibility.
  • Participate in project implementation by meeting Danone budgets, schedules, and quality standards and using appropriate tools.
  • Monitor, review, and communicate project status with respect to supplier contractual commitments.
  • Anticipate and alert stakeholders when contractual commitments are not met.
  • Ensure that cross-functional project-management processes between business-unit teams and the co-manufacturer are established and followed.
  • Implement industrial-performance metrics with co-manufacturer plants and monitor and support continuous improvement.
  • Support commercialization of new platforms and capabilities from concept through launch, including operations-feasibility assessments and project-management follow-up.
  • Set standard key performance indicators for assigned suppliers.
  • Evaluate and manage the global performance of contract-manufacturing suppliers.
  • Define performance-improvement objectives and required action plans.
  • Manage implementation of supplier action plans.
  • Manage overall spend for contract-manufacturing sourcing.
  • Establish budgets, track variances, and manage risks for the assigned area in collaboration with Finance and Contract Manufacturing stakeholders.
  • Identify savings opportunities, validate them with Finance, obtain stakeholder buy-in, build budgets with other functions, and realize and track savings.
  • Lead the US Third Party Manufacturing team within assigned categories.
  • Train, develop, and provide oversight for the US Third Party Manufacturing team to deliver annual objectives and commitments.

Arcor and Danone inject $30M into Mastellone to pay down bank debt

Arcor and Danone have injected $30 million into Mastellone Hermanos to cancel bank debt, less than a month after taking joint control of the Argentine dairy company. The funds come from La Serenísima Unida, the vehicle both groups created to consolidate the business, and will be applied as an irrevocable contribution towards future share subscription. The capital injection arrives at a critical time for Mastellone. In the first half of the year, La Serenísima reported losses of 4.79 billion pesos, compared to 1.16 billion pesos in the same period the previous year. The company also showed financial debts of around 259.19 billion pesos. The new joint venture combines Mastellone's milk, cheese, and butter operations with Danone Argentina's yoghurt and dessert business, aiming to achieve greater scale and efficiency in a challenging market environment.

Danone delivers $15.7B H1 sales with +3.5% growth, confirms 2026 guidance

Danone reported Q2 2026 sales up 4.2% on a like-for-like basis, with volume/mix increasing 1.9% and price rising 2.3%. The EMEA region grew 3.6%, Americas 4.3%, and APAC 5.2%, driven by competitive performance in China's infant milk formula and strong aqua waters results. For the first half of 2026, sales reached €13.94 billion, up 3.5% like-for-like. Recurring operating margin improved 12 basis points to 13.3%, supported by productivity gains despite inflation. Recurring earnings per share rose 0.9% to €1.92, whilst free cash flow totalled €0.9 billion. The company confirmed its 2026 guidance, expecting like-for-like sales growth between 3% and 5%, with recurring operating income growing faster than sales. Danone recently signed agreements to acquire Huel and Made Group in APAC.

Danone shareholders approve $2.54 dividend, up 4.7% on 2025 results

Danone's shareholders approved all resolutions at the company's 2026 annual meeting, with 73.08% of total outstanding share capital present or represented. Shareholders backed the 2025 financial statements and a dividend of €2.25 per share in cash, up 4.7% year-on-year. The ex-dividend date is 4 May 2026, with payment on 6 May 2026. The meeting also approved the renewal of terms for Gilles Schnepp as chairman of the board, Valérie Chapoulaud-Floquet as lead independent director, and Sanjiv Mehta. Danone presented its sustainability roadmap, the Danone Impact Journey, and outlined ambitions towards 2030, including its climate strategy. Danone CEO warns Iran war may force price hikes amid soaring costs

Danone CEO Antoine de Saint-Affrique told CNBC that inflationary pressure from the Iran war may lead to higher food prices, though the company is "not there yet" on raising prices. The outcome depends heavily on how the next two to four weeks evolve, he said. The effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz has caused surging energy, fertiliser and shipping costs. Britain's Food and Drink Federation has forecast food inflation of at least 9% by year-end, up from an estimated 3.2% previously. Despite macroeconomic headwinds, de Saint-Affrique expressed confidence in Danone's resilience. The company reported 2.1% price increases and 2.5% volume-led growth in the fourth quarter, and recently acquired protein shake maker Huel.
