About the job

Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in enterprise customer success, account management, or strategic accounts at a business-to-business software-as-a-service company, ideally selling to ecommerce, marketing, or retention teams.
  • A track record of owning a multi-million-dollar book of business and consistently hitting net revenue retention, gross revenue retention, and expansion targets.
  • Strong commercial acumen and executive presence, with the ability to conduct data-driven conversations with chief marketing officers or vice presidents of ecommerce.
  • Ability to lead commercial conversations involving renewals, expansion pricing, and executive-level negotiations in partnership with sales.
  • Deep familiarity with the Shopify ecosystem and modern ecommerce retention tools, including Klaviyo, Attentive, Gorgias, Postscript, and TikTok Shop.
  • Skill in building executive relationships, leading quarterly business reviews, and translating product usage into measurable business outcomes.
  • Ability to write clearly under pressure and present confidently to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage a complex book of accounts in an organized and operationally rigorous manner.
Responsibilities
  • Own a book of high-annual-recurring-revenue enterprise merchants and meet quarterly net revenue retention, gross revenue retention, and expansion targets.
  • Build and execute a strategic success plan for each account aligned with merchant business goals, peak retail moments, and the product roadmap.
  • Identify churn and downsell risk early using account health signals, usage data, and executive relationship mapping, then mobilize cross-functional resources to resolve it.
  • Lead renewal strategy and commercial negotiations, partnering with Account Management and Finance to structure multi-year, multi-product agreements.
  • Drive adoption across Okendo's Reviews, Loyalty, Referrals, Quizzes, and Surveys products.
  • Run quarterly executive business reviews with merchant leadership, connecting Okendo's impact to revenue, average order value, lifetime value, repeat rate, and customer acquisition cost efficiency.
  • Build durable relationships across each account, from chief marketing officers and heads of retention to day-to-day operators.
  • Map each merchant's lifecycle and technology stack to identify expansion opportunities, including new products, increased usage, or replacement of competitive tools.
  • Partner with Account Management to qualify, scope, and close cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
  • Provide enterprise feature requests, integration gaps, and competitive feedback to Product.
  • Develop expertise in Okendo's platform and key enterprise integrations, including Shopify, Klaviyo, TikTok Shop, Google, Meta, Attentive, and Bazaarvoice.
  • Build relationships with agency and ecosystem partners and co-develop integrated marketing programs.
  • Coordinate Support, Onboarding, Solutions Engineering, and Product to remove account friction and accelerate outcomes.
  • Contribute playbooks, mentor teammates, and help shape how the wider Customer Success team serves enterprise merchants.
  • Complete onboarding and develop working knowledge of Okendo's full product suite.
  • Hold introductory calls with every assigned account, confirm primary stakeholders, and document merchant goals, key performance indicators, and renewal dates.
  • Shadow onboarding and renewal calls, then run merchant calls with light support.
  • Understand the Okendo competitive landscape and Shopify retention stack well enough to position the platform confidently.
  • Lead at least one full renewal cycle end-to-end, including commercial negotiation, and close measurable expansion across multiple accounts.
  • Maintain an active success plan, documented executive sponsor, and healthy cadence of executive business reviews for every account.
  • Feed enterprise merchant insights into Product, Marketing, and Partnerships and contribute reusable Customer Success playbooks.
  • Own and present at least one strategic theme, such as loyalty strategy, reviews and search engine optimization, retention benchmarks, or partner integrations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience working with Shopify Plus brands, Klaviyo, or other tools in the ecommerce retention stack.

About the company

Okendo is a customer marketing platform for e-commerce, especially Shopify, that helps stores collect and showcase customer reviews, photos, and videos, and run loyalty and referral programs, quizzes, and surveys. It works by merchants using its tools to gather user-generated content and social proof, then display it on product pages and marketing channels. It also integrates with marketing tools like Klaviyo, Postscript, and Attentive, enabling cohesive campaigns. Loyalty, referrals, quizzes, and surveys are managed within a single platform, with analytics to understand customer behavior and preferences. Compared with others, Okendo emphasizes social proof and customer intelligence across e-commerce stores, with native Shopify integrations and multi-tier pricing. The goal is to boost trust, engagement, repeat purchases, and new customer acquisition through conversion-optimized content and incentives.
