EverQuest ii's producer's letter september 2026. Date: 09/30/2026 Since July, its updates have targeted balancing heroics and implementing key quality-of-life updates to character progression, including standardized vitality mechanics. Key changes include rebalancing boss encounters like Dennigrah and adding a 250% cap on primary progression stats to ensure a more balanced experience across all servers. Daybreak Game Company has also released experimental scaling changes to the User Interface. If you're on a high-resolution monitor, try it out and please keep reporting issues if you find any. Its most recent updates have focused on unlocking the Rise of Kunark expansion on the Wuoshi time-locked server and bringing the Sarnak race and the Timorous Deep starting zone into play. Alongside this launch, developers resolved issues with UI and system saving, fixing bugs that prevented hotbar changes, macro updates, and charged abilities from saving correctly. Players will also notice cleaner spellbooks after changing factions or possessing pets, more transparent messaging when Cleric and Guardian abilities are stifled by debuffs, and an update ensuring stat bonuses on gear and consumables correctly taper off when entering newer expansion zones. Finally, various heroic dungeon encounters in current content were rebalanced, and tradeskill progression was smoothed out by fixing secondary skill bugs and correcting faction standing gains on Origins servers. Aside from the standard patch cadence, Daybreak Game Company has also launched its latest Game Update, Revelations of Malice which features new fabled dungeons and launched Wuoshi its newest Time-Locked Expansion server. This new system will center around specific house items, such as the Frostfell Gift Getting Stocking and Frostfell Gift Giving Sack, where you will be able to give or receive gifts with others with the use of a Registry system. A full guide on its use will be posted to fully explain it as it gets closer to being launched. Freeport is teetering on the brink of chaos, and whispers are circulating about the fate of the Overlord. Paths of Sedition lays the groundwork for Expansion 23, and there's work to be done across all Norrath. This will begin on October 6, 2026 at midnight PT, be ready! What are Daybreak Game Company waiting for? And finally, onto its 2026 expansion. Coming with this expansion will be the all-new Personas feature. With Personas, your battle-hardened hero can level an entirely new class from scratch on the same character. You can read more about this new feature in the Persona Guide. This expansion, named Descent to Val'Zyroth, will go into Beta and Pre-Order on October 13, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. PT. Daybreak Game Company will have a Developer Livestream for the coming expansion on November 18, 2026. More information will be posted about it as time gets closer. Now, let me paint you a picture of what is coming. As a result of the events of "Gerion's Reckoning", in which Cthurath, the God of Oblivion, was exorcized from Gerion, Hold of D'Lere, the Vrakorr rune claw was destroyed, and Cthurath's acolyte on Norrath was slain, its reality was saved. While the majority of Norrath have remained unaware of the cataclysm Daybreak Game Company narrowly avoided, the Overlord's absence in Freeport has not escaped notice. It's been too long since Freeport has seen their Overlord or felt his wrath. Rumors are spreading, and the power-hungry are plotting. Dark ambitions are stirring in the depths below, and Queen Cristanos is finally making her move. In this expansion, you'll plunge through the treacherous tunnels of Subtunaria into the glowing, magic-soaked reaches of the Underfoot. EverQuest producer's letter september 2026. Date: 09/29/2026 Summer has been busy here at the studio as Daybreak Game Company continue to plug away to bring you some fantastic quality-of-life updates over the last several months. From group quest overhauls to making the Bazaar more accessible, here is a quick look back at what Daybreak Game Company has been working on. The team has taken a good look at multiple Hero's Journey quests and shifted them to be more group friendly. Several quest items such as One of Lize's Trinkets, Anarynn's Lost Gold Locket, and Void Etched Symbol will now drop for the entire group rather than forcing your group to fight over single drops. For its Progression Server players, August brought about an awesome change; Translocator Cogsley is now hanging out in the Commonlands to give you access to the Bazaar even before Shadows of Luclin unlocks on your server. Daybreak Game Company also rolled out a wave of improvements to the Resource Hunter system, adjusting how and where bonuses spawn to make your time in Norrath feel more rewarding. Daybreak Game Company has also touched on class tuning for Enchanters and Magicians, Shadow Knights, Shamans, and Rogues; no more rogue shock procs zapping your friends! And finally, Daybreak Game Company added handy min/max stat filters to the Bazaar search window to make your bargain hunting a breeze. Its developers also tackled some long-standing inconveniences in its monthly updates: * UI Upgrades: Daybreak Game Company added an Expansion dropdown to the Find Item and Bazaar Search windows to help you filter through your loot down the line. * Model Fixes: Original character models should now show helms and robes much more reliably. EverQuest Legends Producer's letter sept. 17, 2026. Date: 09/17/2026 Hail Legends! Daybreak Game Company hope that you're enjoying EverQuest Legends, checking out the new Dungeon Crawls, and perfecting your unique builds! Now that Daybreak Game Company is past launch and heading into the Fall season, I wanted to take a moment to share some of its plans for the rest of the year and beyond. First and foremost, the team is working hard to prepare for the launch of Nektropos Castle and Lake Nerius in October! Along with Nektropos Daybreak Game Company'll also be adding a new starting zone and a brand-new playable race as part of the update. From the outside, Nektropos looks like a stately castle surrounded by a bustling trade hub. But many dark secrets await those who find their way inside. And, perhaps... underneath? There will also be seasonal items and events to enjoy as you explore these new areas of Norrath! After that, there's no time to rest as Daybreak Game Company turn its sights on the release of Rulers of Kunark in mid-December! As a reminder, EverQuest Legends is set in a different timeline than the original game, so you should expect to see some major differences with this expansion. Where there were once crumbling remnants of a distant empire you will now find the factions battling for supremacy at the height of their powers. The Rulers of Kunark expansion will also include Reincarnation, which is a new system that will allow you to re-level your characters and unlock new abilities and increased stat caps. Daybreak Game Company will also be adding increased max levels (55), Aliases, Collections, Artes, Auction Houses, and much more! Finally, looking forward to 2027, Daybreak Game Company is currently working on plans for additional Kunark zones, another playable race in Kunark, and two more raid zones for Kunark. Daybreak Game Company will also release a new high-level outdoor zone, Rujarkian Hills, which is being pushed back to accommodate its plan to add additional content to Nektropos. Later in 2027, Daybreak Game Company plan to release another major expansion based on Velious. And in the expansion after that Daybreak Game Company will be revisiting forgotten places and lost secrets to take the game in entirely new, if vaguely familiar, directions.
