Therabody launches AI shopping assistant Jason with AWS in under 90 days

Therabody has launched an AI shopping assistant called Jason on Therabody.com. The wellness technology company built it with the Agentic Shopping Assistant on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in under 90 days. Jason asks about a customer's needs, budget, and lifestyle, then recommends a product and explains the science behind it. It cites studies in the chat and operates within the compliance rules that apply to an FDA-regulated medical device company. Therabody chose AWS because general AI tools did not offer enough control. Jason runs on the company's own infrastructure and connects to its Shopify platform, so customers can add items to the bag and check out in the chat. Therabody sells direct and through more than 10,000 retail doors.

ThermFace Massage uses percussive therapy and heat to ease jaw pain and tension headaches. It has four attachments and connects by Bluetooth to the Therabody app, which offers guided routines. Therabody also released limited edition holiday colours of its TheraFace Depuffing Wand and TheraFace Mask. "We built these devices to address the tension that modern life concentrates in the neck, back, jaw and face," said chief executive officer Monty Sharma.

The portable, cordless device features dual cooling surfaces and delivers scientifically calibrated cooling to delay fatigue and sustain athletic output. Research with Division I athletes at USC showed 28% more total work volume during resistance training, whilst a study with elite soccer players at IMG Academy found athletes felt 60% cooler and maintained 4.7% better sprint velocity across repeated efforts. England's national football team has incorporated the device into pre-tournament preparations. CryoTherm Palm is available now in the US, with international availability coming autumn 2026.
