- A high school diploma is preferred.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Strong reading, writing, and communication skills are required.
- Strong customer service skills are essential to the job function.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds is required.
- Ability to withstand extensive standing, bending, walking, and reaching is required.
- Sound flexibility, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination are essential to the job function.
- Ability to work weekend, holiday, rotating shifts, and/or rotating positions is required.
- Ability to work in an institutional kitchen operation and tray line service environment is required.
- Ability to work around a wide range of temperatures is required.
- Ability to work with potential exposure to communicable diseases and/or blood or body fluids is required.
- Ability to work with hazardous chemicals and/or cleaning agents is required.
- Produce grab-and-go food for the Simply To Go areas around campus.
- Maintain sanitary conditions in the food service areas.
- Restock the grab-and-go coolers.
- Date and rotate products for food safety.
- Assist others in the cafeteria as needed.
