Requirements

A High School Diploma or GED is required.
Basic mechanical aptitude is required, including the ability to add, subtract, divide, and multiply whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Ability to use measurement instruments, including a ruler, scale, and tape, is required.
Experience or training interpreting blueprints and/or manufacturing drawings is required.
Ability to continuously lift 5–25 pounds, frequently lift 25–60 pounds, and occasionally lift more than 60 pounds is required.
Ability to tolerate frequent strain from position and unsupported lifting and strain from repetitive motions is required.
Ability to work from written or verbal instructions is required.
Ability to observe departmental safety requirements is required.
The role may involve exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and airborne particles.

Responsibilities

Ensure proper operation of a forming press that joins the arrestor plate and damper pan to the skirt.
Use measuring devices and record fractional and decimal equivalents.
Discern out-of-tolerance conditions using fractional and decimal equivalents when assigned.
Manually load parts and unload assembled chambers.
Operate a portable tilter to move bins of parts into position.
Perform equipment changeovers and make minor equipment adjustments as needed.
Make minor equipment repairs and assist maintenance with major repairs.
Perform routine preventive maintenance when assigned.
Maintain the quality standards established for the process.
Maintain good housekeeping in work areas.
Perform other duties as assigned.

The Joiner Machine Operator will serve our Water Heater Division, located in Montgomery, AL

High School Diploma/GED.
Basic mechanical aptitude. Ability to; add, subtract, divide, and multiply whole numbers, fractions and decimals. Use and application of measurement instruments, including ruler, scale, and tape.
Experience or training in the interpretation of blueprints and/or manufacturing drawings.
Continuous lifting of 5-25 lbs.
Frequent lifting of 25-60 lbs.
Occasional lifting of 60+ lbs.
Frequent strain due to position and unsupported lifting.
Strain due to repetitive motions.
