  • Master's Degree in social work, psychology, or similar field
  • On site at 2929 W 10th Ave, Denver 80204
  • Shift/Hours: Saturday 11:30 AM to Midnight
  • Physical requirements: Ability to sit, stand, bend and reach, drive, operate standard office equipment such as phone, computer, facsimile, copier/printer, and other business machines. Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs. Ability to give, receive and analyze information, formulate work plans, prepare written materials and articulate goals and action plans. Must understand people from all walks of life and be able to communicate effectively with them.
Responsibilities
  • Provide psychological evaluations/problem identification, crisis interventions, and individual, group, and/or family therapy to assigned clients.
  • Provide case management services to clients as needed or assigned.
  • Develop treatment plans; monitor treatment progress and follow-up at disposition times.
  • Assist clients with psychological development, social development, and rehabilitation.
  • Coordinate client's use of other WellPower programs and outside community resources.
  • Coordinate medication/medicinal needs of clients with psychiatrists, nurses, and other medical sources.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records consistent with WellPower standards.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive environment for both staff and clients
  • Participate in team/department meetings, in-services, and supervisory sessions as required.
  • Perform 27-65 (M-1) "mental health hold" evaluations
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain a trauma informed environment of wellbeing.
Desired Qualifications
  • Current license as a LCSW/LPC/LMFT in the State of Colorado - preferred.
  • Three years experience in clinical social work preferred but not required. Experience working with moderate to severe and persistently mentally ill populations.

WellPower opens walk-in clinic for same-day opioid addiction treatment in Denver

WellPower, Colorado's largest community mental health centre, has opened a Medication-Assisted Treatment Walk-In Clinic in Denver to provide immediate, low-barrier care for people experiencing opioid use disorder or withdrawal. The clinic offers same-day support without appointments. The evidence-based model combines peer supporters with lived recovery experience, pharmacists and mental health clinicians. Services include same-day medication for withdrawal symptoms, short-term prescriptions and referrals to ongoing treatment programmes. Located at WellPower's Recovery Centre at 4455 E. 12th Ave., the clinic currently operates Wednesdays from 1:00 to 16:30, with plans to expand hours. The initiative responds to rising overdose deaths in Colorado and Denver. WellPower serves over 22,000 individuals annually across 30 sites and nearly 200 community locations.
