Full-timeMontreal, QC, Canada

About the Job

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of product management experience, including principal- or lead-level ownership of a customer-facing product, and direct experience shipping voice-based conversational products such as interactive voice response systems, voice bots, or contact-center voice automation.
  • Hands-on ownership of a production voice product, with working knowledge of automatic speech recognition and text-to-speech tradeoffs, latency budgets, and turn-taking or barge-in design.
  • Design fluency, including manipulating design files and independently producing flows and basic mockups in Figma, with experience acting as a de facto design lead on a lean team.
  • Ability to write enough code to build a working prototype without waiting for an engineer, using AI tools as part of the building process.
  • Hands-on front-end experience building or shipping web front ends and ability to engage credibly with engineers.
  • Deep partner-facing experience with enterprise clients, ideally in regulated industries, shaping requirements and product-level launch decisions.
  • A data-driven approach grounded in customer service and automation metrics, including resolution, containment, customer satisfaction, and escalation quality.
  • Working familiarity with large language model-based products, including prompt and behavior design, AI quality practices, and failure modes.

Responsibilities

  • Own the roadmap for the customer-facing conversational agent across chat and voice, from intent coverage and conversation design to interfaces partners embed in their apps and websites.
  • Set product standards for voice, including latency, turn-taking, barge-in handling, localization, real-time voice, and automatic speech recognition and text-to-speech quality.
  • Engage enterprise partners through discovery, requirements shaping, and launch decisions, translating partner requests into product choices that allow one product to serve multiple partners.
  • Partner with Partner Solutions on implementation and onboarding.
  • Drive design day to day by working hands-on in Figma to produce flows and wireframes, and partner with design on high-fidelity and production assets.
  • Build working prototypes using AI coding tools to test conversation flows and interface ideas where prototypes are more effective than a written specification.
  • Define and defend quality standards with the evaluation team for resolution rate, containment, escalation correctness, and conversation quality across chat and voice.
  • Specify agent behavior, including resolution, tone, escalation policy, guardrails, and edge cases, and iterate based on production conversation data.
  • Stay close to go-to-market, Partner Solutions, and Customer Success teams, and feed field learnings back into the roadmap.
