About the job

Requirements
  • At least 8 years of experience in influencer and affiliate marketing, managing combined budgets of $5 million or more, with a track record balancing direct-response and brand metrics.
  • Experience executing programs across the US and international regions, specifically Canada, the UK, and the EU.
  • Ability to present to senior stakeholders and translate platform and network terminology into concise, high-level recommendations.
  • A bachelor's degree is required. A master's degree in a quantitative or business field is a plus, and equivalent work experience counts.
  • Direct experience selecting and managing influencer and affiliate agencies, running request for proposal processes, validating agency work, and holding partners accountable for results.
  • Hands-on experience with affiliate networks, tracking platforms, and creator management tools such as Rakuten, Impact, or CreatorIQ.
  • Deep affiliate knowledge, including partner types, commission models, fraud risks, and the ability to distinguish partners who drive new customers from those who capture existing demand.
  • Direct experience working with creators, understanding usage rights and the differences between paid social, paid partnerships, and whitelisting.
  • Experience with ecommerce or marketplace brands and fluency in funnel metrics such as return on ad spend, customer acquisition cost, lifetime value, and effective cost per mille, as well as brand-health metrics such as awareness and consideration.
  • Hands-on experience with geo-uplift testing, marketing mix modeling, and multi-touch attribution, and turning results into action.
  • A data-backed point of view on influencer and affiliate best practices and comfort advocating for it.
  • A strong grasp of the customer journey and the importance of consistency, with the ability to align creator, organic, and paid perspectives across customer touchpoints.
  • Fluency in Federal Trade Commission disclosure requirements and platform and network policies for creator, affiliate, and whitelisted content, with working knowledge of UK and EU rules.
  • Ability to collaborate with Brand Social, Brand and Creative, and Marketing Data Science, adapting communication to creative or data audiences.
  • Ability to remain effective as scope, priorities, ownership, and team structure evolve, and to apply skills to changing business needs.
  • Experience using scripts, Python, SaaS tools, or artificial intelligence to improve workflow automation and capacity.
  • Genuine interest in learning and challenging one's thinking.
Responsibilities
  • Own new-customer goals for influencer and affiliate marketing across the US, Canada, the UK, and emerging EU markets, contribute to awareness goals, and hold customer acquisition cost to each channel's lifetime-value-based payback target.
  • Set strategy for the affiliate content and performance-partnership-based channel, including performance public relations and cost-per-acquisition influencer work; manage partners, recruit and onboard new partners, set commission structures and incentives, decide which partner types receive investment, and test hybrid flat-fee and performance-pay deals.
  • Protect the affiliate program from fraud, promotional-code abuse, and policy violations through tracking, monitoring, and partner audits with agency support.
  • Own paid media amplification of top-performing creator content through whitelisting and partnership ads, including audience targeting, media strategy, and campaign planning; align campaign strategy with Brand Social.
  • Partner with Brand Social on creator selection and relationship management; review agency recommendations and, as needed, source, vet, and contract creators, negotiating rates, deliverables, exclusivity, and usage rights with Legal and Finance.
  • Partner with Brand Social to build and manage a tiered influencer program, from high-volume nano and micro creators to proven creators using trackable links, with criteria for moving creators between tiers.
  • Partner on the creator experience, including briefs, content approvals, and on-time payments.
  • Amplify community and creator content through paid media where it supports goals, working with Brand Social and Community teams.
  • Share agency management with Brand Social and lead day-to-day conversations with influencer and affiliate agency partners in the areas of focus, holding them accountable for strategy, execution, and performance against goals.
  • Contribute to request for proposal processes and agency selection for influencer and affiliate agencies and platform vendors by helping define requirements, evaluate proposals, and recommend partners.
  • Own influencer and affiliate reporting, turning metrics such as customer acquisition cost, return on ad spend, effective cost per mille, reach, and engagement into clear recommendations for leadership.
  • Own the testing roadmap for paid influencer and affiliate; propose and run incrementality tests with Marketing Analytics teammates using geo-uplift studies and marketing mix modeling, and use results to prove which spend drives new customers rather than organic or brand-halo effects.
  • Own compliance for affiliate and paid creator content, including contract terms, disclosure language, content review, and ongoing monitoring; align standards with Brand Social.
  • Support talent and ambassador partnerships with Brand, Creative, and Community teams as the program evolves; evaluate fit, structure performance-based terms, and work with talent agencies when needed.
  • Take on adjacent performance opportunities as priorities evolve, including performance partnerships, team and league opportunities, mobile, and international performance strategy.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with pet or on-demand marketplace brands.
  • Experience with ambassador, community, or talent partnerships.
  • Experience with performance partnerships, co-marketing, or mobile marketing.

Rover Launches Dog Training, Helping Pet Parents Find Credentialed Dog Trainers

Rover launches Dog Training, helping pet parents find credentialed dog trainers. Pet Age Staff//March 5, 2026// Rover Group, Inc., a leading online marketplace for pet care, has announced the launch of its new dog training offering. Pet parents across the U.S. can now use Rover to find and book nearby credentialed dog trainers for private, in-person sessions tailored to their pet's specific needs. All trainers offering services through Rover have committed to rewards-based training, provided documentation of dog training credentials, and passed a third-party background check. Since soft launching as a pilot program in October 2024, Rover has added 1,600 credentialed trainers and more than 6,000 dog parents have booked a training session on Rover, demonstrating strong resonance with pet parents. Through training services available on Rover, it is easier for pet parents to find the right support for their pets' needs, allowing them to compare credentialed dog trainers in their community, with the ability to search by years of experience, reviews and ratings, price, and training skills. According to a new Rover survey*, most pet parents (86%) agree that today's dogs require more training due to how often they accompany their people outside of the home. Two-thirds (65%) admit they wish their dog was better trained and 67% would be more willing to hire a professional dog trainer if it were easier to find and book one. Trainers on Rover can help dogs of all ages shape behaviors, learn skills and build confidence. "Rover is always looking for new ways to better serve the unique needs of pets and their people," said Brent Turner, CEO of Rover. "Our new training service does just that by prioritizing the wellbeing of pets and bringing to market an offering that meets pet parents where they are. It's been very well received by pet parents and trainers alike." By expanding its service offering to include dog training, Rover enables credentialed dog trainers to connect with millions of pet parents on the Rover platform. Trainers on Rover are empowered to set their own rates, manage booking schedules, and choose their clients, providing flexibility to grow their training business at their own pace. "Part of the Rover magic is the incredible network of pet lovers that we've built over the past 15 years, coming together to help pet parents find the support they need," said Scott Lowe, GM of Dog Training. "After a year of piloting the new service and building a network of qualified trainers, pet parents nationwide can now find the perfect trainer for their dog's needs-whether it's a puppy needing help with potty training, house manners, chewing and jumping or an adult dog that needs to refine behaviors, like barking or separation distress. We believe Rover's training offering is a natural evolution in our journey to become the go-to resource for pet parents." *A Rover survey of 1,000 U.S. pet parents conducted in February of 2026, via Pollfish.
