Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • March 12, 2026, Suffolk standardized Clearstory across its national portfolio.
  • May 28, 2026, Clearstory launched COR Pricing Agent and Plexxis integration beta.
  • June 23, 2026, Clearstory said only one-third of contractors use structured change-order processes.

What critics are saying

  • Procore, InEight, and CMiC already bundle change management inside broader systems.
  • If Procore copies Clearstory's COR log, Clearstory becomes a replaceable feature by 2027.
  • A weak construction slowdown would hit renewal growth and crush expansion sales in 2026.

What makes Clearstory unique

  • Clearstory owns a dedicated change-order communication layer, not a generic project-management suite.
  • Its real-time COR log and digital T&M tags replace paper tickets and email chaos.
  • Clearstory's 2023 DataStreet acquisition deepened subcontractor workflows and accelerated payment-focused adoption.
