Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Three to five years of food and beverage service industry experience in quick-service restaurants and/or Starbucks is required.
  • Open availability is required, including the ability to work all shifts, holidays, and weekends.
  • Working knowledge of general quick-service restaurant operations is required, including personnel management, food planning and preparation, purchasing, par levels, daily and monthly inventory, sanitation and health codes, and security.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of store partners to create and maintain the Starbucks Experience for customers and partners.
  • Supervise and direct the workforce and make staffing decisions, including hiring, training, evaluating, disciplining, discharging, staffing, and scheduling.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and product quality, manage the store’s financial performance, and manage safety and security within the store.
  • Set goals for the work group, develop organizational capability, and model effective collaboration.
  • Train partners and hold them accountable for delivering customer service.
  • Drive company programs by developing action plans and motivating and instructing the store team to meet operational and organizational objectives.
  • Manage with integrity, honesty, and knowledge in support of the company culture, values, and mission.
  • Plan, identify, communicate, and delegate responsibilities and practices to store partners to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide coaching and direction to the store team to achieve operational goals.
  • Review the store environment and key business indicators to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop strategic and operational plans for the work group, manage execution, and measure results.
  • Monitor and manage store staffing levels to support partner development, talent acquisition, and store operational requirements.
  • Use operational tools to plan for and achieve operational excellence, including automated labor scheduling, monthly status reports, quarterly business reviews, cash management, and inventory management.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable wage and hour laws for nonexempt partners and minors.
  • Solicit customer feedback and research local markets to understand customer and community needs.
  • Access external resources to support store operations and execute district and regional initiatives.
  • Use management information tools and analyze financial reports to identify and address trends and issues in store performance.
  • Conduct performance assessments, provide feedback, and set challenging goals to improve partner performance.
  • Manage ongoing partner performance using performance management tools to support organizational objectives.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with partners in the district by understanding and addressing individual motivation, cultural nuances, needs, and concerns.
  • Ensure partners and team members adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements.
  • Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments using organizational tools and programs.
  • Use effective management principles and practices to create and maintain a successful store team in which partners are valued and respected.
Desired Qualifications
  • Two to three years of Starbucks management experience is preferred.
