Requirements
  • A Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • A Pennsylvania license as a Physical Therapist.
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Ability to lift and carry 40–50 pounds, push or pull patients and stretchers, perform lateral transfers, stand and walk frequently to continuously, and perform role-specific activities including kneeling, bending, squatting, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Responsibilities
  • Provide therapy evaluations, treatment planning, treatment interventions, and discharge planning for a full patient caseload in acute care, skilled facility, acute rehabilitation, and outpatient settings as appropriate.
  • Assess, synthesize, and apply the literature to clinical practice.
  • Participate in education and teaching commensurate with a novice clinician.
  • Plan, organize, and deliver treatment programs that help clients and patients recover and rehabilitate.
  • Use tools and techniques to administer safe therapeutic interventions and training for patients and families.
  • Record and document patients' health progress information, including daily treatments, progress notes, evaluations, and discharge summaries.
  • Suggest and implement program development or performance improvement activities with manager or supervisor approval.
  • Support the supervisor or manager with ongoing clinical and departmental operations.
  • Assist with staff orientation, mentorship, and competency assessment of new and rotating staff.
  • Complete education, teaching, and professional activities commensurate with the position.
  • Participate in student education for part-time ICE and Occupational Therapy Level I students or full-time students.
  • Interact with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with Jefferson's values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
