- A Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology is required.
- Certification with the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) by the American Speech/Language and Hearing Association is required, or the candidate must meet the educational requirements and be accumulating the supervised experience required for certification with completion within one year.
- Two years of clinical experience are required.
- An American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Evaluate speech, language, cognitive, and communication impairments, as well as swallowing, airway, clinical voice, and resonance disorders.
- Develop and administer speech therapy programs and treatments for inpatients and outpatients across age groups defined by clinical competency, including neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
- Provide patient and family education.
- Communicate courteously and patiently with patients, families, medical personnel, and others to provide quality customer service.
- Preferred experience with MBS, LSVT LOUD, or VitalStim.
