Requirements
  • A Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology is required.
  • Certification with the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) by the American Speech/Language and Hearing Association is required, or the candidate must meet the educational requirements and be accumulating the supervised experience required for certification with completion within one year.
  • Two years of clinical experience are required.
  • An American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate speech, language, cognitive, and communication impairments, as well as swallowing, airway, clinical voice, and resonance disorders.
  • Develop and administer speech therapy programs and treatments for inpatients and outpatients across age groups defined by clinical competency, including neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
  • Provide patient and family education.
  • Communicate courteously and patiently with patients, families, medical personnel, and others to provide quality customer service.
Desired Qualifications
  • Preferred experience with MBS, LSVT LOUD, or VitalStim.
