Responsibilities
  • Engage with school district leaders and educators to understand their data analytics needs and educate diverse stakeholders on effectively using dashboards to interpret data.

  • Use SQL for database management and queries, ensuring accurate and accessible data solutions.
  • Provide ongoing dashboard support and maintenance by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving platform and data quality issues to ensure reliable reporting and effective data modeling.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and Product to enhance the data platform.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Python for data cleaning, analysis, and automation.
  • Experience working with a K-12 Student Information System such as Infinite Campus, PowerSchool, Skyward, or Aeries.

Newsela merges Schoolytics and EveryDay Labs into one student data platform

Newsela, a K–12 education technology company, has merged two of its products into a single platform for school districts: Schoolytics by EveryDay Labs. It announced the launch on October 20, 2026. The platform pulls data from student information systems, learning management systems, assessments, attendance records, multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) tools, and spreadsheets into one secure data warehouse. Educators can then start interventions, assign tasks, run MTSS meetings, and contact families without leaving the platform. Automated workflows handle follow-up. Newsela chief executive officer Pep Carrera said most tools "stop at the dashboard." He called attendance the "blueprint" for the rest of student support. Newsela acquired both Schoolytics and EveryDay Labs in 2026.
