- Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science or related technical discipline
- Experience developing web-based applications
- Proficiency in a modern programming language
- Experience working with a Model-View-Controller framework
- Must be able to work from the office located in downtown Santa Barbara
- Develop tools for the barkback teams to get even more done
- Develop new functionality for the barkback website and apps
- Enhance barkback's backend systems and databases
- Work closely with our web developers and product teams to bring new product features to life as well as make the existing product even more amazing
- Experience with Ruby on Rails as a plus
- Experience using AJAX/JSON and creating robust APIs is heavily encouraged, but not required
BarkBack provides a private channel for customers to share direct feedback, suggestions, and criticisms with businesses, avoiding public review sites like Yelp. Consumers can sign up for free accounts and may receive coupons or offers for completing surveys. Businesses can use a freemium platform to create customized surveys, track feedback, and get notified when issues are resolved to build loyalty. The service targets a wide range of businesses and aims to help them address concerns privately, improve customer service, and manage reputation.
