Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required, although relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the education requirement.
  • Five years of relevant work experience are required.
  • Four years of applicable technical experience with Creo (ProE) are required.
  • Experience with product development in an ISO-controlled environment is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products is required.
  • Two years of experience in a project management role are required.
  • The ability to handle the stress of working with others is required.
  • The ability to be available outside of normal work hours is required.
  • The ability to lead by example is required.
  • The ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles is required.
  • Knowledge of methods and accepted practices of plastic injection molding, tooling, and tooling design is required.
  • Knowledge of plastic part design requirements is required.
  • The ability to travel up to 20% both domestically and internationally, including overnight stays and extended work hours during work meetings, is required.
  • The ability to obtain a passport is required.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and exploit commercially viable technical solutions and product offerings.
  • Explore and apply computer-aided design technologies and tools.
  • Maintain full compliance with ISO quality procedures and processes.
  • Lead and assist in the execution and implementation of new products from concept to full production.
  • Validate finished products.
  • Complete documentation and cross-functional communication.
  • Provide technical customer support and assistance.
  • Perform troubleshooting and special projects as assigned.
  • Provide informal leadership of ORBIS product development projects and technical support for business processes as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree with cooperative work assignments in plastic manufacturing-based companies.
  • Experience with Windchill or other product data management software.
  • Experience with SolidWorks and SpaceClaim.
