Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree or higher in health sciences or a related field is required.
  • A strong background in injury prevention is highly desirable and essential for construction, manufacturing, and transportation settings.
  • Demonstrated time management skills and the ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing multiple tasks and deliverables are required.
  • The ability to conduct proactive outreach to new people and populations is required.
  • Strong presentation skills and confidence sharing health information and coaching individuals and groups of all sizes are required.
Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement employee engagement initiatives promoting physical activity, healthy weight management, mindfulness and stress reduction, tobacco cessation, and other healthy lifestyle activities.
  • Coordinate and lead safety talks, stretch and flex programs, lunch-and-learns, seminars, and presentations.
  • Conduct blood pressure biometric screenings and body composition testing events and coach employees based on the results.
  • Promote safety awareness and injury prevention and refer employees to employer health and safety resources.
  • Educate employees about client resources and benefits and connect them with resources related to their interests, needs, and goals.
  • Follow the monthly engagement plan using the client site service delivery calendar and Ramp Health resource library.
  • Collaborate with client human resources, benefits, and safety teams to integrate wellness and injury prevention initiatives.
  • Engage employees through stages of the change continuum to support behavior change and improved health and wellbeing.
  • Conduct proactive site walks or rounds throughout the workday to maintain visibility and accessibility among employees.
  • Provide individual coaching and resources addressing physical health, mental wellbeing, body mindfulness, and health improvement goals.
  • Offer individual blood pressure checks and body composition testing and facilitate person-centered coaching interactions.
  • Conduct individual health consultations, identify internal motivators, and create personalized health improvement plans.
  • Monitor employee health and behavior progress and adjust coaching strategies as needed.
  • Provide evidence-based resources from the Ramp Health library and other sources.
  • Provide referral coaching and resources within the scope of practice and Ramp Health referral protocols.
  • Engage employees in monthly health and safety topics through activities and questions that support health behavior change.
  • Follow up with employees to strengthen engagement and increase the impact of coaching interactions.
  • Engage employees in mindful and safe work practices through daily site walks or rounds.
  • Provide body awareness and mindfulness coaching to support conservative self-management, injury prevention, or appropriate referral.
  • Identify and address individual safety and musculoskeletal risks through education, demonstrations, coaching, and follow-up.
  • Coach employees on applying continuous-learning principles to improve workplace safety and reduce injuries.
  • Document coaching activities and employee consultations through timely and accurate data entry while protecting health information privacy.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and client-site vendors on workplace safety and injury prevention.
  • Complete client-site paperwork, documentation, and reporting accurately and promptly.
  • Follow the agreed-upon client-site schedule and communicate schedule changes to the site contact and operations manager.
  • Maintain high visibility and accessibility for at least 80% of the workday.
  • Follow client-site emergency and safety protocols and respond effectively during emergencies.
  • Manage time effectively and work independently to deliver onsite services.
  • Complete Ramp Health and client-site data entry by the end of each business day in compliance with HIPAA requirements.
  • Maintain accurate coaching, engagement, and reporting data.
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow company policies, procedures, privacy laws, and regulations.
  • Attend required team and operations manager meetings.
  • Attend and participate in four mandatory live skill-building sessions each year and complete associated recordings and exams when necessary.
  • Complete additional Ramp Health training in a timely manner.
  • Maintain professional communication with site contacts, operations managers, and Ramp Health team members.
  • Collaborate with the operations manager, site contact, and onsite partners to meet client needs and goals.
  • Maintain, clean, and store Ramp Health equipment and coaching materials according to company guidelines.
  • Represent Ramp Health professionally in written and verbal communication with onsite partners and vendors.
  • Interact courteously and respectfully with employees, management, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Ramp Health and interdisciplinary team members to deliver measurable outcomes related to risk-factor reduction and chronic disease prevention and management.
  • Communicate concerns about tasks, contacts, incidents, and deliverables to the operations manager.
  • Remain familiar with Ramp Health products and provider services, including technology, referrals, nutrition, and clinical services.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in health and wellness, wellness coaching, fitness, personal training, athletic training, nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, or physical therapy assisting.
  • Health and wellness coaching experience or equivalent person-centered experience in fitness, nutrition, or health promotion roles.
  • Experience using behavior change science, including stages of change and motivational interviewing, to support sustainable health behavior change.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical record, SOAP, and ADIM data entry.
  • Experience taking manual blood pressure measurements.
