About the job

Requirements
  • Bring at least 10 years of technology-industry experience, with a track record in technical program management, technical strategy, technical go-to-market, industry programs, or technology consulting.
  • Have driven technical sales motions and field-wide campaigns with measurable customer adoption or business results.
  • Bring technical fluency in artificial intelligence, application programming interfaces, cloud platforms, and enterprise deployment tradeoffs, with experience scoping use cases and shaping technical demos, prototypes, workshops, or reference implementations with engineers.

  • Have experience partnering with hyperscalers or technology ecosystems on joint solutions, technical enablement, or go-to-market programs.
  • Have built and managed internal workflows or tooling used by teams day to day; use automation and artificial-intelligence-powered business intelligence tools to reduce manual work, build dashboards, define success metrics, and turn adoption and program-performance data into decisions.
  • Have led large-scale global initiatives from initial design through multi-region rollout and ongoing operations, balancing shared standards with local needs.
  • Navigate ambiguity, influence without formal authority, and communicate clearly with technical, field, partner, and executive audiences across regions and functions.
Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end delivery and operations for a prioritized portfolio of global Applied AI Engineering initiatives, including project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, regional rollout, leadership updates, and performance tracking.
  • Co-own industry strategy with Applied AI Engineering and go-to-market leaders across regions by synthesizing customer and field feedback, identifying recurring workflows and adoption barriers, and prioritizing use cases and investments.
  • Partner with Applied AI Engineering teams across regions and customer segments to identify recurring adoption, delivery, and operational bottlenecks and root causes; work with leadership to prioritize actions, align resources, and drive resolution.
  • Lead the design of reusable technical industry workshops, including agendas, demos, materials, and actionable next steps, for adaptation by regional teams; Applied AI Engineering and other technical teams lead delivery.
  • Work with hyperscaler and ecosystem partners to jointly develop industry use cases and coordinate technical readiness, launches, and go-to-market execution.
  • Own the roadmap, quality, and lifecycle of application programming interface and industry demos, technical blueprints, and field enablement playbooks; partner with technical teams to keep assets current, reusable across regions and customer segments, and aligned with customer needs and product capabilities.
  • Design and run field-wide technical campaigns with Applied AI Engineering, Sales, Product, and partner teams, tailoring regional execution to move customers from discovery and evaluation toward adoption.
  • Own and improve Applied AI Engineering's internal operating mechanisms and tooling, including intake, prioritization, operating reviews, and reporting.
  • Establish feedback loops, shared success metrics, and dashboards for delivery, field and customer adoption, application programming interface usage, and business impact across regions; use automation and insights to improve team effectiveness and inform Applied AI Engineering, industry, and product priorities.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience at hyperscalers, independent software vendors, or consulting firms.

About the company

OpenAI researches and builds artificial intelligence models and turns them into products for people, developers, and businesses, with a stated mission of making sure artificial general intelligence benefits all of humanity. Its launch of ChatGPT in 2022 brought generative AI into everyday use. People use ChatGPT to ask questions, write, code, and analyze files, developers build OpenAI's models into their own apps through its API, and its Codex agent works through coding tasks on its own. OpenAI earns money from ChatGPT subscriptions, business plans, and API usage. Sam Altman, Elon Musk, and others co-founded it in 2015; it is based in San Francisco and overseen by a nonprofit, the OpenAI Foundation.

What believers are saying

  • Sales are compounding: OpenAI's yearly revenue pace doubled from $24 billion in March 2026 to nearly $50 billion in September.
  • Equity turns into cash regularly: staff sold $7 billion of shares in August 2026, after $6.6 billion in October 2025.
  • Room to grow: OpenAI plans to nearly double staff to 8,000 by year-end and listed 816 openings in October 2026.

What critics are saying

  • Its chief rival pulled ahead: Claude maker Anthropic's $965 billion valuation in May 2026 topped OpenAI's $852 billion.
  • Profits are years away: OpenAI's own forecast, reported in September 2026, shows $278 billion of cash burn through 2030.
  • Expect leadership churn: 15 senior leaders, including the revenue and applications chiefs, left OpenAI between January and September 2026.

What makes OpenAI unique

  • A nonprofit is in charge: the OpenAI Foundation appoints OpenAI's whole board and held a 26% stake in October 2025.
  • ChatGPT reaches about one in seven people on Earth: 1.2 billion used it each week as of September 2026.
  • Microsoft is a major part-owner: it held about 27% in October 2025 and licenses OpenAI's models through 2032.

AIM Intelligence joins OpenAI's partner network, launching Stinger-Daybreak security assessments

AIM Intelligence, a Seoul-based AI safety and security company, has expanded its cybersecurity collaboration with OpenAI. It unveiled an application security assessment service that links its AI blue-teaming platform, Stinger, with OpenAI's Daybreak cybersecurity program. The service combines code vulnerability analysis using the Daybreak Blue model, runtime testing with Stinger, and expert review. It covers AI applications, web services, and APIs, and weighs flaws against an application's permissions, configurations, and data flows to show which to fix first. Results include reproduction evidence for validated findings and remediation guidance. The service is aimed at Korean organizations. On October 22 at OpenAI DevDay Exchange Seoul, OpenAI introduced AIM Intelligence as a Select Partner in the OpenAI Partner Network.

OpenAI launches Decisions API to rival TypeSafe, the $7.6B startup behind Jev

OpenAI has made its Decisions API model widely available, entering a market that recently made TypeSafe, a startup founded by a former OpenAI researcher, a $7.6 billion company. The API became available to all customers on Thursday. Decision models act as super classifiers: given a set of options, they choose quickly and rate their confidence. Developers use them in place of large language models to work faster and at much lower cost. OpenAI built its version by reconfiguring ChatGPT Luna. Product lead Nikunj Handa said response times fell from one to three seconds to 100 to 180 milliseconds. Speak, which builds AI language tutors, cut the time between actions from 1.4 seconds to 0.13 seconds. Other early customers included Box, Datadog, and Ramp. On public benchmarks, OpenAI's model ranks eighth and fourteenth, behind TypeSafe's Jev model.

Defenders' window narrows as Chinese AI models close in, while Meta posts $64.6B revenue

Meta said third-quarter revenue rose 26% to $64.6 billion, slightly above its forecast, and announced a new class of nonvoting common stock to raise capital for its AI spending without diluting chief executive officer Mark Zuckerberg's control. Shares rose 2% in after-hours trading. Existing shareholders will get one Class C share for each Class A or B share they hold. The stock can be issued from January 19. Meta gave no timing or size for an equity offering. Free cash flow was negative $2.12 billion, against positive $10.63 billion a year earlier, due to AI investment. Full-year capital spending is expected at $135 billion to $145 billion, within its earlier range. Operating income fell 37% to just under $13 billion, partly due to a nearly $10 billion legal charge. A New Mexico judge also ordered Meta to pay $25 billion in a Cambridge Analytica case.
