Hammer Distribution and Acronis partner to deliver next-gen cybersecurity, GenAI, and automated MSP Operations.

Hammer Distribution and Acronis partner to deliver next-gen cybersecurity, GenAI, and automated MSP Operations. By Neil Trim on October 20, 2026 Hammer Distribution, a specialist value-added distributor, today announced a strategic partnership with Acronis, a global leader in cyber protection. The collaboration will give Hammer's growing channel partner network access to a comprehensive, scalable portfolio spanning cybersecurity, infrastructure, next-generation AI services, and MSP operations, bringing together two organisations with deep roots in the UK channel. The partnership comes at a time when MSPs face mounting pressure to deliver more with less: more sophisticated security, more automation, and more demonstrable value to clients, all while managing costs and complexity. By combining Hammer's channel expertise with the breadth of the Acronis' cyber protection platform, the two companies aim to give partners a single, integrated approach to addressing those demands head-on. What partners gain access to: * Advanced Cybersecurity - Enterprise-grade protection including Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Managed Detection and Response (MDR), Extended Detection and Response (XDR), Email Security, Security Posture Management, Security Awareness Training, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP). * Next-Generation Infrastructure - Including Cyber Frame, a new solution built for the demands of modern IT environments. * GenAI Services - AI-native capabilities including GenAI Protection and Cyber Employee, designed to augment and accelerate security operations. * MSP Operations - Automation tools covering Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM), Professional Services Automation (PSA), and Workflow Automation, helping partners scale recurring revenue without adding operational overhead. Beyond the product portfolio, the partnership also offers partners access to Hammer's enablement infrastructure, including onboarding support, technical training, and active pipeline development assistance, to help them bring these solutions to market quickly and confidently. Dominic Ryles, Director of Cyber and Cloud at Hammer Distribution, said: "This partnership is a genuine step forward for our partner network. Bringing together Hammer's channel expertise and Acronis's innovation in GenAI and XDR gives our partners a real competitive advantage, not just new products to sell, but an automated framework to secure and future-proof their clients' businesses. We're excited to see what our partners build with this." Jo Holliday, General Manager at Acronis added: "UK MSPs are under pressure to deliver stronger protection, faster response and more efficient service delivery, without adding more tools and complexity to their operations. Hammer's channel expertise makes them a strong route to market for Acronis in the UK. Together, we can help partners bring natively integrated cyber protection, infrastructure management and service automation to more customers, enabling them to protect, manage and automate client environments more effectively while building scalable, profitable managed services." The partnership goes live today, with onboarding, technical enablement, and pipeline support available to all Hammer partners immediately. Nexcess adds Acronis threat detection and response to managed cloud servers

Nexcess, a managed cloud provider, has launched Acronis Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) as an add-on for its managed cloud servers. The software watches how programs behave on a server, flags activity that looks like an attack, and keeps a record of what happened. It is available from October 19, 2026, to any eligible customer. Nexcess handles setup, so customers install nothing. Those already running Acronis Backup or Disaster Recovery can use the Acronis agent on their servers. Alerts appear in the Nexcess portal, showing the affected server, severity, what was caught, and whether it was contained. The service is billed on one invoice. "We want to give our customers one partner for the server and the protection on it," said Michael Ohayon, general manager of managed cloud at Nexcess.
