About the job

Responsibilities
  • Talk to customers and identify and fix pain points on the fly.
  • Build extensive internal tooling to support on-the-ground launch operations.
  • Build a scalable payments platform that handles marketplace transactions between users and restaurants, including automated payouts, promotions, customer analytics and acquisition tools, and recommendations.

About the company

Snackpass builds an all-in-one platform for quick-serve restaurants that combines hardware and software to speed up operations. Its AI-powered, self-serve devices handle ordering, payments, and customer flow, while the accompanying software links these devices with the restaurant’s systems to boost efficiency and improve the dining experience. A key differentiator is the social buying and loyalty feature, which lets customers share loyalty points with friends, making purchases a group activity and helping attract new customers. The company stands out by integrating physical hardware with software in a single ecosystem and leveraging a social rewards model to drive word-of-mouth. Its goal is to help quick-serve restaurants run more efficiently, enhance customer satisfaction, and grow growth through social referrals and loyalty.

What believers are saying

  • Snackpass careers showed open roles in NYC, SF, and remote USA on 2026-09-24.
  • The Stord partnership supports omnichannel operations for growing restaurant chains.
  • Official hiring pages in 2026 still tout $92M raised and active expansion.

What critics are saying

  • Series B was June 2021; heavy 2026 hiring signals pressure to reignite growth.
  • Snackpass lacks recent funding, making competitor-funded rivals like Toast harder to outspend.
  • If restaurants consolidate around Toast or Square, Snackpass loses its standalone social wedge.

What makes Snackpass unique

  • Snackpass blends ordering, loyalty, gifting, and line-skipping into one workflow.
  • Its 2021 Sleek acquisition added priority-lane technology for concerts and food trucks.
  • The brand still targets campus and local restaurant social commerce, not generic POS.
