- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Current Nursing Assistant Level I certification is required.
- American Heart Association CPR certification is required.
- Perform duties within the scope of practice established by the Department of Human Services Division of Facility Services.
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Nursing Supervisor.
- Deliver personal care to patients according to an individualized plan of care.
- Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and mobility.
- Assist with ostomy and Foley care and provide skin care.
- Closely observe patients and report changes in their condition to the hospice nurse.
- Work alongside an interdisciplinary hospice-care team.
- Provide care to short-term hospice-house patients.
