  • Must meet the physical requirements of standing, walking, handling tools and equipment, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, bending, twisting, and frequently lifting or moving up to 25 pounds; sometimes pushing or pulling items such as tables, bleachers, and scrubbing machines.
  • Must have close, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must work indoors regularly and outdoors occasionally in hot and cold weather, sometimes near moving mechanical equipment and toxic or caustic chemicals, and meet deadlines with severe time constraints.
  • Must perform duties within applicable health and safety standards and school district emergency procedures.
Responsibilities
  • Perform routine cleaning, servicing, and restocking of supplies in buildings.
  • Keep all building areas clean, sanitary, and orderly by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, and refinishing floors; cleaning, sanitizing, dusting, and polishing furniture; washing windows and walls; cleaning and sanitizing restrooms; and disposing of rubbish according to prescribed procedures. Work includes offices, residence halls, and other campus buildings.
  • Maintain clean and sanitary lavatories, check bathroom cleanliness and supply levels, and clean as required.
  • Clean and sanitize desks, chairs, tables, cabinets, and other office or classroom equipment.
  • Remove trash, sanitize and reline waste containers, and pick up litter inside the school and on school grounds.
  • Apply cleaning chemicals according to established safety procedures and their safety data sheets.
  • Follow safety measures when cleaning, lifting, moving, and operating equipment.
  • Remove dirt and markings from interior and exterior walls, doors, and other vertical or horizontal surfaces.
  • Perform detail cleaning, including polishing brass, stainless steel, and drinking fountains, and dusting ledges, corners, baseboards, and furniture without disturbing customers’ personal belongings.
  • Follow recycling procedures; report damage or malfunctioning items in assigned areas; and change burned-out light bulbs.
  • Clean and support special events on campus.
  • Clean the gymnasium and physical education locker rooms.
  • Clean the cafeteria between lunch periods.
  • Keep equipment in good repair and clean condition.
  • Secure school buildings and cleaning closets and follow key sign-in and sign-out procedures.
  • Attend safety training, which may include First Aid, CPR, and OSHA.
  • Implement technical and safety methods as instructed by the supervisor.
  • Advise the Building Maintenance Supervisor about mechanical equipment and building maintenance matters.
  • Wash and clean windows, light fixtures, ventilators, and other items, using a four-foot step ladder when needed.
  • Move furniture, office equipment, and supplies requiring lifting or pushing items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Perform other work-related duties and additional responsibilities as assigned.

  • One year of previous cleaning experience is desired.
  • Must function well in a team and community environment, displaying common courtesies and politeness.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with supervisors, coworkers, students, and faculty members.
  • Successful experience working with culturally diverse families and communities, or demonstrated commitment to strengthening engagement of a diverse community and skill in communicating with a diverse population.
  • Initiative, ability to work with minimal direction, sound judgment, and decision-making capabilities.

CATS Academy Boston welcomes Isiah Anderson as the new Senior Director of Athletics. * August 20, 2026 CATS Academy Boston is delighted to welcome Isiah Anderson as its new Senior Director of Athletics, Basketball Operations & Auxiliary Programs and Head Girls Basketball Coach. With more than two decades of experience as a coach, athletic administrator, recruiter, and program builder, Isiah brings an exceptional combination of leadership, vision, and student-centered excellence to its community. His appointment marks an exciting new chapter for athletics at CATS Academy Boston as CATS Academy Boston, Inc. continue to strengthen its academy sports programs and elevate opportunities for student-athletes from around the world. In his new role, Isiah will provide strategic leadership across the athletic department while working closely with its academy sports partners, including North American Hockey Academy (NAHA), American Hockey Academy (AHA), and Basketball, to ensure strong alignment between athletics, admissions, academics, student support, and the overall student-athlete experience. He will also lead the development and national expansion of CATS Women's Basketball, while supporting international recruitment efforts and the continued growth of its auxiliary programs. Isiah joins CATS Academy Boston after serving as Head Coach of Girls Basketball at Prospect Mountain High School, leading them to the most successful season in school history and a Final Four appearance. Throughout his coaching career, he has helped student-athletes advance to NCAA Division I, Division II, Ivy League, and professional programs, earning a reputation as an outstanding mentor and developer of talent. Before that, he served as the Athletic Director and Head Basketball Coach at Busche Academy, where he led an international athletic department comprised of more than 110 student-athletes representing 18 countries. In that role, he oversaw a comprehensive athletic program dedicated to student success both on and off the court. His passion for athlete development is evident throughout his career. Isiah is the founder of REPS Basketball, one of New England's most respected independent basketball programs, serving more than 150 athletes annually across multiple teams. He also co-founded the International Sports Academy at Hoosac School, creating a highly successful international basketball program that helped student-athletes excel academically, athletically, and in the college recruitment process. Isiah's broad experience supporting student growth, building successful programs, and developing strong organizational cultures will be invaluable to the future of CATS Academy Boston athletics.
