Requirements
  • An Associate’s Degree is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of combined training, education, and/or experience providing the knowledge and abilities required for the duties.
  • Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, current Good Manufacturing Practice regulations, and safety.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Communication, management, and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple high-priority projects and workloads while ensuring timely completion.
  • Ability to delegate and direct others.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively with a customer-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to travel when necessary.
  • Ability to work in production, warehouse, and office settings and walk, sit, and stand for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee compliance with material movement, storage, reconciliation, segregation, quarantine, destruction, and issuance to production.
  • Recognize potential issues and pursue and obtain timely resolutions.
  • Communicate closely with clients when necessary.
  • Ensure handling, packaging, and shipping of finished goods at the site comply with customer requirements and relevant current Good Manufacturing Practice regulatory requirements.
  • Initiate and create rework protocols, deviations, change controls, nonconformances, validations, and the validation tracker.
  • Initiate, review, and approve customer requirements, tools and techniques, and Quality Department job descriptions.
  • Provide support for quality batch records, the Quality Control Auditor, and quality material release.
  • Act as backup for all functions in the Quality Manager’s job description when the Quality Manager is absent.
  • Help prepare customer audits and support the audit process.
  • Help facilitate the internal audit process.
  • Originate or implement improvements to Quality procedures as necessary.
  • Enter documentation into the quality management system to provide a central documentation point.
  • Initiate team meetings for special projects or important changes in customer processes, prepare meeting minutes, and follow up on action items.
  • Work with Production and Quality Management to resolve significant Quality issues through real-time and follow-up activities.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree is desired.
  • Bilingual Spanish ability is highly desired.
  • American Society for Quality or another Quality certification is preferred.
