Requirements
  • Be board certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, or Pulmonology.
  • Ideally be licensed in five or more states; priority states include Florida, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Texas, Maryland, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Washington, Massachusetts, North Carolina, and California.
  • Have a clean or relatively clean record to facilitate health plan credentialing.
  • Not currently be opted out of Medicare.
  • Complete credentialing applications in a timely manner.
  • Have expertise in managing individuals with cardiac and pulmonary pathophysiology.
  • Have cardiopulmonary training in basic life support or advanced cardiac life support.
  • Have experience providing care in a virtual setting.
  • Be highly organized and able to create, adhere to, and scale repeatable processes.
Responsibilities
  • Join the medical group as an independent contractor.
  • Provide high-quality clinical care using best practices and policies established by the clinical leadership team.
  • Perform asynchronous or synchronous patient visits on a mutually suitable schedule.
  • Perform health histories, evaluate patient records, diagnose patients, and refer them to programs when appropriate.
  • Provide lifestyle recommendations related to patients’ specific goals.
  • Enter notes and other relevant information into the electronic medical record.
  • Communicate and partner with other members of patients’ care teams to coordinate care and oversee ongoing patient care plans.
  • Participate in occasional meetings and a quality assurance program.
Desired Qualifications
  • Be licensed across multiple states and able to be credentialed easily.
  • Have experience working with cardiac and pulmonary patients.
  • Be willing to obtain additional licenses by mutual consent and with financial support.
  • Be licensed in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, or West Virginia.
  • Have a desire to learn about and influence new technologies.
  • Have a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
