About the job
- A bachelor's degree in Public Accounting, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- A master's degree in Taxation, Administration, Costs, Finance, an MBA, or a related discipline is required.
- At least 8 to 12 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Costs, Taxes, or Controller functions is required.
- Previous experience in manufacturing companies is required.
- Previous experience supervising accounting, tax, administrative, or financial teams is required.
- Solid knowledge of financial accounting, financial reporting preparation, cost accounting, taxes (ISR, IVA, and payroll taxes), internal controls, internal and external audits, monthly closes, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis is required.
- Experience interacting with international corporate teams, preferably U.S. companies, is required.
- Professional written and verbal English communication skills are required.
- Knowledge of Mexican Financial Reporting Standards (NIF) is required.
- Knowledge of accounting close processes, Mexican corporate taxes, fixed-asset control, invoicing processes, manufacturing cost analysis, and financial, tax, or internal-control audits is required.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and databases, are required.
- Experience with financial analysis models, executive reports, and dashboards is required.
- Administer accounting, tax, cost, and internal-control functions to support Mexico's financial operations.
- Lead teams supporting the financial operation.
- Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).
- Knowledge of REPSE processes.
- Experience using Power Query and Power Pivot.
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, preferably SAP.
- Knowledge of reporting, business intelligence, or automation tools.
