Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 or 3 years of office experience is required.
  • Experience using office equipment and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Explorer, Excel, and Outlook, is required.
  • Strong written, grammatical, presentation, and verbal communication skills are required.
  • The ability to work collaboratively and flexibly with a diverse team of teachers and administrators is required.
Responsibilities
  • Greet and document visitors, verify authorized student pickups, and monitor and control access to the school.
  • Answer, redirect, and place phone calls, take messages, and create school announcements.
  • Distribute received mail, prepare school mailings, and make mail drops.
  • Oversee the school's day-to-day activities and serve as the main point of contact in the reception area.
  • Plan and manage logistics and preparations for school events and activities as needed.
  • Organize staff meetings.
  • Collect and maintain student, personnel, and school information, including forms, databases, contact information, and records.
  • Evaluate situations involving staff, students, parents, the public, and police, and take appropriate action or direct matters to appropriate personnel.
  • Coordinate programs and activities to ensure the availability of facilities and equipment and deliver services according to established guidelines.
  • Collect funds for school trips and student activities.
  • Disburse and reconcile petty cash.
  • Collect funds for staff meals.
  • Perform record keeping and general clerical functions, including scheduling, copying, faxing, and mailings.
  • Respond to inquiries from internal and external parties, provide information, facilitate communication, and provide direction as needed.
  • Assist other personnel with completing their work activities.
  • Support the Principal, counselors, and other administrative personnel with their administrative functions.
